MORE COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS have been made available at the Church Office for those who may still need one. You may pick up tickets during office hours, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm each day this week, or you may also pick them up in the Main Foyer tonight from 6:15 - 6:45 pm.

Register now for a Life Group by filling out the Life Group card and dropping it in the offering plate or by contacting Pastor Nate Brinar. Groups will be forming for Singles, Young Married, Married with kids, Married with teens, Empty Nesters and Others. Life Groups are a great way to grow closer to Jesus and others in the body of Christ. Sign up today and get plugged into a group of people you can "do life with." Tuesday Mornings: 
Victory in Spiritual Warfare: Outfitting Yourself for the Battle by Tony Evans will begin Tuesday, September 27th at 9:00 am in the Fireside Room. Florence Schneider will be facilitating this 8-week study. Tuesday Afternoons: Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver will begin Tuesday, September 27th at 1:30 pm at the home of Janet Singleton, 1609 B Aurora Drive. This 10-session study teaches how all of us can draw closer to our Lord, deepening our devotion, strengthening our service, and doing both with less stress and greater joy. Cost for materials is $15. Tuesday Evenings: Nehemiah by Kelly Minter. It's not too late to participate in this study meeting Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm in Room 107. This 7-week study challenges women to let God break their hearts for a hurting, lost world and move them in compassion to lead people to Jesus. Cost for materials is $15. Thursday Evenings: Heroes of the Faith by David Jeremiah will begin Thursday, September 29th at 7:00 pm in Room 309. Discover the list of God's heroes and learn why they were chosen. Hebrews 11 is the only place you'll find God's list. Each person in God's Hall of Fame was chosen for only one reason: They possessed great faith. For more information contact Jan Clark.

All kids in 3rd - 5th grades are invited to participate in the trip of a lifetime!! During our Mission Retreat we will enjoy late night snacks and play Scripture Spy while we fly to "Africa".  MissionRetreatKids, don't forget to bring your sleeping bag, pillow, roll of quarters, Bible, and comfortable traveling clothes. A permission slip is required and may be downloaded here
star Parents...there are opportunities for involvement during the Missions Retreat. Consider one of these ways you can help:
- 2 people to help coordinate snacks for the plane
- Adults to help chaperone kids to the airport, pilot the plane, serve as custom guards and ticket agents.
- Adults to spend the night with us in Africa (aka HFN).

Kansas District Work & Witness Trip
Honduras February 13-27, 2017
In 2012, Pastor Christian Juarez began a successful soccer ministry which pulled kids off the streets, out of gangs and gave them a new start, a new family and a new life. Soccer ministries are spreading across Honduras and the church is growing. Join us as we travel to La Esperanz a Puerto Cortes, Honduras, partnering with the local Nazarene church to build a soccer field and help reach the lost for Christ.
star Cost: Approximately $1900 per person  (includes $200 refundable deposit) Includes airfare, room and board, insurance, and in-country travel.  It covers everything but personal expenses.

Naz Night @ Kansas State Fair
Meet at the Fairgrounds TONIGHT
There are NO Student Ministry Activities @ HFN TONIGHT. In place of our regularly schedule Mid-Week gathering we'll be going to the Crowder Concert at the Kansas State Fair. We have sold out of concert tickets, but interested students and/or families can still get tickets at the box office at the fairgrounds. (Our main group will be sitting in the lower part of section H.) There will be a group that will gather at the Moore's house, 305 Crescent Blvd., at 6:30 tonight to go over to the fair together. Students can be dropped off, or, people are welcome to park in our driveway. Parking space is limited, so come a little early to park. Students that are dropped off can also be picked up at our house following the concert.
2016 Enchilada Fundraiser
Sales Are in Full Swing!
All middle & high school students are encouraged to check out a packet and sell! Order forms & payments are due back next Wednesday, September 21st! Production Day has been scheduled for Saturday, October 22nd. Every student that sells enchiladas must be present for Production Day. If a student has a prior commitment, a parent can come in their place. This is a great opportunity to add to student accounts. Don't let your student miss the opportunity to raise money for Lock-In, Winter Retreat, Xtreme/Max, Mission Trip, etc...!
HSM "Live Your Faith" Challenge
Over the course of the fall semester High Schoolers can earn points by attending Wednesday & Sunday Services, Sunday Morning Small Groups, bringing friends, serving in different ministries in the church, and getting "Caught in the Act" of being Christ-like. Click here for a flyer with all of the details. The student who accumulates the most points will be given the choice between a 16 gb iPad Mini, Beats Headphones, or a 2017 Winter Retreat Full Scholarship. Please encourage your student to "Live Out" their faith and be a part. Also, please remind your student to make sure they are turning in their activity each week as that is how they will receive credit.

All Middle School and High School students @ HFN are invited and encouraged to participate in the Zone Event planned for Sunday, October 2nd. Times, activities and cost will be announced in the next couple of weeks. Students, make plans now to join us for a fun evening to connect with other students on our zone and have have a good time.

KNYI District Lock In
November 4-5
Help Needed
The annual KNYI District Lock-In will be held at Wichita First Church on Friday and Saturday November 4-5. This event starts around 9 pm in Wichita and ends around 6 am. We're usually home by 7 am. We are in need of 6-8 volunteers to accompany our group. If you can help, please contact Pastor Josh Moore.

11th Annual Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County is hosting a free community screening of the documentary "Being Mortal" on Friday, October 14th. Inspirational Speaker and survivor, Jared Estes will also be sharing his true story of tragedy and triumph. This session will be held at the Trace Center Conference Room, 1600 N Lorraine, beginning at 1:30 pm. This program is free and registration by October 10th is encouraged. 

Open Door Pregnancy Care Center Fundraiser: The Steel Wheels performing under the stars near Yoder, Kansas Monday, September 19th at 6:30 pm. A portion of proceeds will benefit Open Door Pregnancy Care Center. Tickets $36 may be purchased here. Complimentary coffee and refreshments at intermission (bring your own chair).
