Join us for our 2nd Annual All Church BBQ Dinner hosted by Celebrate Recovery Ministry. We look forward to sharing this great fellowship time with you! Join us in the Lewis Family Life Center immediately following the morning services this coming Sunday. 
A delicious BBQ lunch, hosted by our Celebrate Recovery Ministry, will be served in the Lewis Family Life Center immediately following the morning services. 
Those households whose last name begins with A-L are asked to please bring a dessert. Those whose last name begins with M-Z are asked to please bring a salad or vegetable. 
 There will be inflatables for the children and a car show on the grounds.

starOur next Membership Class will meet this Sunday, August 28th from 4:00 - 6:30 pm in the Theatre (just inside the South Entrance). We will cover what a church is, what the Nazarene Church stands for, what Hutchinson Nazarene stands for, and what we expect of our members.

Supporting our Local First Responders
This Coming Sunday, August 28th

at The Father's House, 1505 E 20th Street
A community-wide event to show appreciation and support for our local First Responders will take place this coming Sunday evening at The Father's House, 1505 E. 20th St. Inflatables will be on the grounds for children and food will be available for purchase. Everyone is welcome and is invited to participate in this event.

   A grill and a couple of people to cook hot dogs as needed through the evening.

Choir & Orchestra Rehearsals Begin Next Wednesday, August 31st

Kicks Off This Wednesday in the Theatre
It's not too late to participate in Kids Quizzing for the 2016-17 season. This year's focus in Kids Bible Quizzing takes us to the Old Testament books of I & II Samuel. Children will meet for practice sessions Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm. The cost is $10 per child (maximum $25/household) and includes a quizzing book and t-shirt. Church at the Fair

Invite your family and friends to join you for Church @ the Fair on Sunday, September 18th. We will worship at the Bretz and Young Law Arena on the Kansas State Fairgrounds at 10:00 am. 
star Complimentary Tickets are available through Wednesday, September 7th, at the Welcome Center in the Main Foyer or Kids Foyer or at the Church Office during the week. You are welcome to use these tickets to invite unchurched friends and family. Although tickets are free, we are asking HFN members/attenders to consider purchasing the tickets they will need. Any contributions toward Church @ the Fair are greatly appreciated.

Financial Peace University
Wednesdays, Beginning September 21st
We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) teaches God's ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you've dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!

Ladies Bible Studies To Begin Soon

star Thursday Evenings: Heroes of the Faith by David Jeremiah will begin Thursday, September 29th at 7:00 pm in Room 309. Discover the list of God's heroes and learn why they were chosen. Wednesday Night Meals
Begin Tonight, August 24th
6:30 in the Lewis Family Life Center
$2 meals will be served in the Lewis Family Life Center prior to our Go Culture Gathering beginning tonight. Parents, please be sure to send $2 with your student to pay for the meal. If you are interested in helping with the cooking or clean-up, we could use some additional volunteers to add to our rotation. Please contact Pastor Josh if you have questions or would like to volunteer.
HSM "Live Your Faith" Challenge
Beginning this Sunday, the High School Ministry is kicking off the "Live Your Faith" Challenge. Over the course of the fall semester High Schoolers can earn points by attending Wednesday & Sunday Services, Sunday Morning Small Groups, bringing friends, serving in different ministries in the church, and getting "Caught in the Act" of being Christ-like. The student who accumulates the most points will be given the choice between a 16 gb iPad Mini, Bose Bluetooth/Wireless Speaker, or a 2017 Winter Retreat Full Scholarship.
Parents of Seniors Night Out
On Sunday, September 11th at 6:00 pm, HFN High School Ministry is having a "Parents of Seniors Night Out". We'll plan on meeting at Olive Garden first to enjoy dinner together, and then we'll head to the Moore's for coffee and fellowship time afterwards. Each couple/individual will be responsible for the cost of their own meal, however, dessert & coffee will be provided. If you can make it, please contact Pastor Josh via email, text, or Facebook.
Naz Night @ Kansas State Fair

Our Go Culture Mid-Week gathering will meet on the State Fairgrounds on Wednesday, September 14th for Naz Night at the Fair. A few more $20 tickets are still available and they are first come first serve and open to anyone ... so ... if you or your student needs tickets, contact Pastor Josh asap! When they're gone, the price goes up to $30. Also, in leu of ordering new shirts this year, we will plan to wear our turquoise & green youth group shirts.
