Scream Free Parenting
Wednesday Evenings Beginning August 3rd
6:30 pm in Room 106
ScreamFree Parenting will shift the focus of your parenting with one simple principle: parenting is not about the child - it's about the parents. The vast majority of parenting books and seminars are child-focused and technique oriented centering on how to change your child's behavior. You can't control someone else's behavior - not even a child's! With ScreamFree Parenting, you will learn to unburden yourself and replace that nagging feeling with empowered, calm wisdom.
star Dr. Mark Glover will facilitate this 8 week study. Sessions meet each Wednesday evening, August 3rd - September 21st, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm in Room 106. Cost for materials is $12 per book. Register by contacting the church office, or call 662.1283.
Church Membership Class
Sunday, August 7th
4:00 - 6:00 pm
in the Theatre
Membership is an important step in the life of any follower of Christ. Membership is when you decide not to just "join" a church but to "partner" with them in what they are doing in the world. Membership allows us to have a say in the direction of the church by allowing you to vote during general elections and upcoming decisions that require a vote to be conducted. Membership also says you voluntarily hold yourself to a greater level of commitment in a local body of believers.
star Our next Membership Class will be held Sunday, August 7th, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm in the Theatre (just inside the South Entrance). We will cover what a church is, what the Nazarene Church stands for, what Hutchinson Nazarene stands for, and what we expect of our members.
star Please register for this class by email or call the Church Office at 662.1283. Child care will be provided for children through 5th grade (please RSVP the number of children that will be coming with you when you register.)
star Coming to the Membership Class does not mean you are required to join the church, it is open for anyone who is curious about what it means to be a member of our church.
