Baptism Orientation
This Coming Sunday, March 13th
Between Services
Baptism Orientation is this coming Sunday morning at 10:15 in Pastor Kent's Office (next to the Garden Foyer). This class is required for anyone who desires to be baptized at our next Baptism Service during either morning service on Sunday, April 3rd. If children are interested in being baptized, please contact Pastor Mark Hall.

Student Ministry Auction
This Coming Sunday, March 13th
Our Annual Student Ministry Auction has become the biggest means of raising funds to help our students with trip and event costs. Won't you make plans now to join us for the Live Auction and Dinner this coming Sunday, March 13th, beginning at 5:00 pm in the Lewis Family Life Center. 
star Auction Dinner Tickets are still available either through the Church Office this week or in either the Garden Foyer or South Foyer this coming Sunday morning. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for kids (10 and under).
star The Silent Auction is underway in the Fireside Room. If you have yet to browse through the Silent Auction items drop by the Fireside Room tonight from around 6 to 8 pm.  The Silent Auction will close this coming Sunday during the Live Auction which starts at 6:00 pm.
star The Live Auction will be this coming Sunday, March 13th beginning with dinner at 5:00 pm in the Lewis Family Life Center and the Live Auction beginning at 6:00 pm.

All Senior Adults, anyone 55 or older, are invited to join Pastor Kent this coming Monday, March 14th, beginning at 6:30 pm in the Theatre. Pastor Kent will be sharing his heart and vision for Hutchinson First Church with our senior adults. We look forward to seeing you join us for this encouraging and informational evening.

Stop by the Garden Foyer Welcome Center soon to make your reservation for the upcoming District Senior Adult Banquet. This annual event will be held on Friday, April 8th, at Wichita Woodland Lakes Church of the Nazarene, 770 S Greenwich Road. Cost is $13 per person. Please RSVP here or at the Garden Foyer Welcome Center by Monday, March 21st.
Special guest this year will be Brian Arner. Brian has emerged as one of the finest voices in inspirational Christian music. His dramatic solo interpretations thrill, inspire and move his listeners. His vocal quality is matched only by the depth and sincerity of his spirit and his genuine love for God, his family and those around him is evident in all that he does. Brian and his wife, Penni, and their two sons travel full-time in their music ministry.
Children's Ministry
star Parent Meeting
Sundays, March 20th and April 3rd
There will be an identical meeting for all parents of children ages K-5th grade on March 20th and again on Sunday, April 3rd at 10:30 in the Theatre. We will be discussing the upcoming summer camps and activities, as well as a new schedule for Sunday School and Kid's church.  Parents, please make plans now to attend one of these meetings.
star Community Egg Hunt

Bags of plastic eggs are available for pickup at either Welcome Center. Would you be so kind as to help us fill the eggs with wrapped candy (no chocolate, please) and return them by Sunday, March 20th? Your help is greatly appreciated!
star We'll begin the fun at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 26th in the Sanctuary with a telling of the Easter Story. Kids, be sure to bring a basket to gather eggs.
star Save the date! This family event is for children through 5th grade and their parents. Plan now to join us - and bring your neighbors, friends and classmates! If you know of someone not attending a church, this is a great event to introduce them to HFN. We will have lots of eggs to hunt, and lots of prizes as well.
Easter Celebration

On this day, the church commemorates Jesus' arrest, trial, crucifixion, suffering, death, and burial. During the Good Friday Service, music, scripture, and dramatic elements will walk us through and help us remember the pain, humiliation, and suffering Christ endured as he journeyed to the cross. Childcare will be provided for children birth through preschool age.

Join with us as we celebrate the greatest day in history! Morning worship will be 9:15 am (contemporary service) and 10:45 am (traditional service). Our Easter Sunday Celebration will be a morning filled with songs of worship, media presentations, drama and celebration. We look forward to worshiping with you!

in the Midst of Chaos by Dr. David Jeremiah
In this study, Dr. Jeremiah approaches the topic of Jesus' last words about the future-not on the basis of sensationalism, but on the basis of the Word of God. star Children's Clothing Now Accepted
Our NMI Council is now accepting all seasons of Children's Clothing, sizes 5T - 16 for the next School Clothes Give Away. This clothing may be newly purchased or gently used and clean with no holes/tears or repairs needed. We are at this time only accepting shirts/tops or shorts/pants (please no undergarments, shoes or socks). You may leave your contributions in the Garden Foyer (by the West Entrance) or South Foyer at your convenience.

Kansas Xtreme is a sports and talent competition for students across the Kansas District. All middle and high school students are invited to compete in a wide variety of categories and events to qualify for MAX @ MNU later in April.

star Sign up: Students interested in team sports or group acitivites need to sign up on the posted sign up sheets in the East Foyer.
star Attendance Rule: For students planning to participate in Kansas Xtreme, the Attendance Rule goes into effect this week. All students planning to participate need to attend 5 of the next 6 Wednesday Mid-Week Gatherings (some exceptions apply).
star Students can compete in up to 3 talent and 2 team events, but no more. For instructions on individual entries, please see Pastor Josh or Joni.
star Competitive categories include: Bible Quizzing, painting, drawing, photography, creative art, drama, human video, dance, worship band, singer/songwriter, math test, preaching, persuasive speech, vocal solo and ensemble, instrumental solo and ensemble, table tennis, bowling, 3-point shoot out, 5K run, tennis, co-ed dodgeball, 7 on 7 football, guys/girls middle/high school basketball, ladies volleyball, and 4 on 4 beach volleyball.
Dillon's Card Fundraiser
We've just begun a new calendar year and that means its time to login to your Dillon's Shoppers Card Account online and re-designate HFN as the beneficiary of your Community Rewards. 
To do this, go to www.dillons.com
login with your username and password, click the "community" tab near the top
select "Community Rewards." On the page that comes up, either use our "Organization Code" which is 10140, or simply type in "First Church of the Nazarene".  A list of organizations should appear, and choose the one with the address of "4290 N. Monroe". 
After you've done this, you're all set and you can know that for the remainder of 2016, a portion of what you spend at Dillon's on qualifying purchases will benefit HFN's Middle and High School Ministry!

Winter Jam 2016

Intrust Arena in Wichita, KS
High School students attending Winter Jam are to meet at the church parking lot. We are hoping to leave at or before 3:30 pm this Friday. We have a very specific time frame we need to hit in order to utilize our tickets, so we need to leave at that time. If there are any conflicts, please Pastor Josh know.

Winter Jam 2016
This Friday, March 11th
Sign Up Here
Middle school students interested in attending Winter Jam Concert sign up online here. Payment of $15 is needed when you sign up, or agree to pay from your account. Seating is limited to the first 25 kids, and is on a first come/first serve basis. Transportation will be provided and will leave from the church at 4:00 pm SHARP, so arrive a few minutes early. Bring $8-$10 to eat dinner at the Intrust Arena. We should arrive back at the church around 12:00 midnight.

College Mid-Week Gathering meets Tuesdays at 8:00 pm in Room 106 and is for all College and Young Adults, ages 18-25.
