Brinar Family Welcome
This Coming Sunday, January 3rd
Nate and Kristi Brinar and their three children, Payton (11) 5th grade, Logan (9) 4th grade, and Graycen (7) 1st grade, will be joining the HFN family on Sunday, January 3, 2016. Nate will be our new Sports Outreach Pastor and Kristi will be working with our Children's Ministry. Plan on being here for this Sunday of celebration as we welcome them to our family!
star Welcome Reception Between Morning Services: Everyone is invited to join us for a Welcome Reception for Nate & Kristi Brinar and their family between the morning services this Sunday, January 3rd in the Garden Foyer. A card basket will be available where you may leave greeting cards welcoming them to our church family. If you would like to include gift cards to restaurants and Dillon's, this will help stock their refrigerator and help them adjust to their new Kansas environment.
star Luncheon for Families With Children: All families with children birth through 5th grade are invited to join us for lunch this Sunday, January 3rd, immediately following the morning services in the Lewis Family Life Center. Families whose last names begin with A-L, please bring a salad or vegetable. Those whose last names begin with M-Z, please bring a dessert.

star Children's Clothing Now Accepted
Our NMI Council is now accepting all seasons of Children's Clothing, sizes 5T - 16 for the next School Clothes Give Away. This clothing may be newly purchased or gently used and clean with no holes/tears or repairs needed. We are at this time only accepting shirts/tops or shorts/pants (please no undergarments, shoes or socks). You may leave your contributions in the Garden Foyer (by the West Entrance) or South Foyer at your convenience.

Thursday Evenings Beginning January 7th:The Joy of Encouragement 
by David Jeremiah will equip us to be become an encourager. And if you need a bit of encouragement, this study will help you to gain new strength. Tuesday Mornings Beginning January 12th:
Believing Jesus: A Journey Through the Book of ACTS, by Lisa Harper, is an 8-session dvd study that retraces the steps of the apostles in the book of Acts. Are you willing to risk everything, as the disciples did? Make plans now to participate in this challenging study. Sessions begin Tuesday, January 12th, at 9:00 am in the Fireside Room. Tuesday Evenings Beginning January 12th: The Armor of God, by Priscilla Schirer, is a 7-session dvd study. All day, every day, an invisible war rages aroung you. A cunning, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you - your emotions, your mind, your family, your future. star IF Gathering February 5-6, 2016: The world round us feels like it is crumbling and almost nothing seems certain, until we look to Jesus and see that our Hope is very clear and certain. He didn't just give us salvation-Jesus is our salvation and the example of what it means to live in the fullness of grace and truth. This February 5-6, join this global gathering of women across denominations, generations, and cultures as we come together in the name of Jesus.
Tell THE Story Seminar
Sunday, January 17th, 6:00 pm
star What: Tell the Story is a dynamic way of telling Bible stories in such a way as the hearer can easily enter the story, pull truth from it, apply it, remember it and share it again. 
star Where: This 90 minute teaching session will be presented at Hutchinson First Church on Sunday, January 17th at 6:00 pm.
star Who: Tell THE Story is for everyone who teaches, preaches or tells stories for children's church, VBS, Bible Studies or just wants to share the Bible with friends and neighbors. If you have the blessed responsibility of sharing the gospel, or have ever wanted to know how you can, you'll be glad you came to this event. 
star Seminar Leaders: Pastor Gary and Pam Worthington, pastor at Hutchinson New Life Church of the Nazarene, will be leading and sharing how Tell THE Story has helped them in their local ministry. They have received extensive training for this system, and have used it with great success. 
star Register: Please contact the Church Office if you plan to attend the Tell THE Story Seminar. Your response will help us to plan appropriately for the number attending.

Christmas Tear Down January 7th & 8th: Our Christmas decorations have been beautiful and have added to the festivities of the Christmas season, but it is now time to take them down and pack them away. We will be undecorating the facility on Thursday and Friday, January 7th & 8th, from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Your help for a day or an hour would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Charitable Contributions: To receive contribution credit for 2015, please make sure all contributions to the church are received in the church office by noon today or postmarked by Thursday, December 31st. You will receive a year-end statement shortly after the first of the year to support your 2015 contribution deduction for your income taxes.

5th Annual Community Prayer & Praise Service Sunday, January 3rd at 7:00 pm at the Fox Theatre: You are invited to an evening of prayer and praise to God Almighty. Join this 5th annual celebration of the Hutchinson community's dependence of our Lord and Savior. We will lift our voices and our prayers for God's blessing on our community. Child care is provided.
