Sunday Worship
Faith Promise Sunday
October 18th
This coming Sunday we welcome guest speaker Dr. Fletcher Tink, director of the PhD program in Transformational Development at the Nazarene Seminary in Manila. Dr. Tink has served in pastoral assignments in Kansas City, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Washington DC and Cambridge. He has traveled to 118 nations, taught in 56 of them and preached in many others. In the last year, he has taught in Pakistan where he was given access to share with Muslim leaders in the mosques, in Nepal where he experienced the April 25 earthquake, and also taught at the heart of Buddhism in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, to 97 Hindu and Muslim students. In August, he taught Nazarene pastors and Muslim leaders in two centers in Bangladesh, our fastest growing missionary field. And in September, he gave seminars and officiated at a graduation of students in one of the creative access nations. You will find Dr. Tink to be engaging and challenging. Please make plans now to join us for either service.
We will be receiving our Faith Promise pledges during both services this Sunday morning. This year's goal is $60,000. Giving through Faith Promise is an adventure and an opportunity to allow God to show how He can provide when we open our hearts and our pocketbooks to do generous things for His Kingdom! Please prayerfully consider what God would have you give.
