Festival Choir Rehearsal Resumes
TONIGHT, August 12th, 6:30 pm
Rehearsals will resume tonight at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary. We are looking for singers of all ages, 16 years of age and older. If you enjoy singing and would like to honor God by using your musical abilities in the choir, now would be a great time to give it a try. For more information you may contact Pastor Ryan.

This Saturday, August 15th, at 7:00 pm
at Hillcrest Pool
The church will provide grilled hot dogs with all the fixin's - you bring a side, dessert and drinks to share. Bring your towels and pool toys as well! Dinner will start around 7:30 pm. Older siblings, friends and anyone else are invited! Everyone is welcome to swim.

There is a pizza luncheon planned for all interested parents and children this coming Sunday, August 16th, right after 2nd service. Information for the upcoming quiz year will be shared at this meeting. If you have any interest in your children participating in quizzing this year, please plan on attending. Two identical Parent Information Meetings will take place on Sunday, September 6th following each of the morning worship services in the Theatre. All parents of children birth through 6th grade are asked to attend this meeting regarding Fall Children's Ministry events. Please make plans to attend one of these meetings at 10:30 am between services, or 12:00 pm at the conclusion of the second worship service.
star Naz Night at the Fair
Wednesday, September 16th
Naz Night at the Fair will replace our regularly scheduled Bible Max on Wednesday, September 16th. In concert that night will be The Newsboys & For King & Country. Tickets are $20 each if ordered by Wednesday, August 19th, and includes admission into the fair. Please make payment to Pastor Mark Hall. Tickets purchased after August 19th will be $30.

All children, K-6th grade, are encouraged to sing with us at Church @ the Fair Worship. We will be learning the song over the next several weeks (no extra rehearsals needed). T-shirts will be available and offered to your children at no cost - (If you can help offset this cost, the shirts are approximately $7 each. Hutchinson tornado sirens are tested at noon on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of each month. This will be a great reminder to join the pastors in the Sanctuary at noon on these days to pray for our city and country. This coming Monday, August 17th, we will be meeting in the Sanctuary to pray...please join us!

We will be praying for students of all ages and educators as we prepare for another awesome school year! Join us in either morning worship service at 9:15 or 10:45 am for this meaningful time. Teachers and administrators will be receiving a complimentary gift to begin your school year. Be sure to see an usher following either service.

This movie will be showing at the Hutchinson Mall on Friday, August 28th. 75 tickets will be available for purchase beginning this coming Sunday, August 16th. Stop by either Welcome Center to purchase your ticket, $7.50 each. Deadline to purchase your ticket at the church is Wednesday, August 26th.

Plans are underway for a great afternoon of food, fellowship and fun! Make sure to mark your calendar to join us on Sunday, August 30th, immediately following our morning services. We'll enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch hosted by our Celebrate Recovery and Marriage Ministries in the Lewis Family Life Center. There will be inflatables for the children, a motorcycle fun ride for motorcycle enthusiasts, and a car show on the grounds.

Church at the Fair

Mark your calendar now to join us for our 6th Annual Church at the Fair Worship Service. We will worship at the Bretz and Young Law Arena on the Kansas State Fairgrounds on Sunday, September 20th. Service begins at 10:00 am with pre-service at 9:30 am. Invite your family and friends to join you for church and then enjoy the rest of the day at the fair!!

The Amazing Race - JESUS Film Harvest Partners 5K Run/Walk

Grab your jogging/walking shoes and join us in a 5K Run/Walk that will benefit JESUS Film Harvest Partners! The Amazing Race will kick off the festivities of this year's Missions Gala at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 17th. You can register to participate in the race, download liability waivers, make payment, and order t-shirts all in one handy location. The Art of Marriage LIVE is new and combines the Art of Marriage material with the Weekend to Remember experience, bringing live speakers right to our church who will bring encouragement, laughter, scriptural teaching, and hope to all who come.

Registration Now Underway
Meetings are the first and third Fridays of each month, from October 2nd through May 20th, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at First Church of the Nazarene. Childcare is provided. Cost is $37.50/semester. Come join us as we travel through motherhood together and find our identity hidden in Christ.

Christ's Care Preschool Open Enrollment

Open enrollment has begun for the 2015-16 Christ's Care Preschool school year. Openings are currently available for all sessions.
star Monday/Wednesday/Friday Morning Sessions for 4/5 year olds meet from 9:00 am - 11:30 am. Cost is $100 per month. Non-refundable enrollment fee - $50 payable at registration.
star Tuesday/Thursday Morning Sessions for 3/4 year olds meet from 9:00 am - 11:30 am. Cost is $80 per month. Non-refundable enrollment fee - $50 payable at registration.

Upstairs in Teen Area Following Morning Services 
Teen Bible Quizzing will kick off with an Informational Meeting for parents and students this coming Sunday, August 16th. Meet upstairs immediately following morning services. A pizza lunch will be provided. 
star Teen Quizzing is open to all students in 6th - 12th grade. Practices will be Sunday afternoons at 4:00 pm and Wednesday evenings at 5:30 pm.

Free food, games, photo opps and of course, free t-shirts to paint up! All students are encouraged to invite an unchurched friend. Students - wear clothes that you won't care if they are changed forever (i.e., stained... including their shoes)!

$2 Meals Are Back
Beginning Wednesday, August 26th
in the Lewis Family Life Center
Meals will begin again on Wednesday, August 26th. Please be sure to send $2 with your student to pay for the meal. Additional volunteers are also needed for help with cooking and clean up. If you are interested in helping on a rotation basis, please contact Pastor Josh.

News You Can Use

Laundry Love: First Tuesday of each month from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Giant Laundry, 430 N Adams Street. Liquid Laundry Soap and Dryer Sheets may be brought to the Welcome Center at your convenience. Quarters may be left at the Garden Foyer Welcome Center each Sunday or brought to the Church Office during the week.

The New Creation Candle is a representation of those who have recently accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior! Your HFN Family would like to celebrate and rejoice with those who have come to know Christ. As you pray and are used to help lead someone as they receive Christ, please contact the pastoral staff or Church Office so we can light the candle in their honor on Sunday.

Are You CPR or AED Certified? We would like to update the list of those in our congregation that are trained in CPR and AED use with our Automatic External Defibrillator so they may be called upon during an emergency. If you are trained and are willing to have your name posted with our AED unit, please contact the church office. The AED is stored in the Usher's Closet in the corridor of the Sanctuary.
