New Small Group Begins This Summer
A new small group will be meeting for 6 weeks this summer. The study will be Rick Warren's video series, Transformed - How God Changes Us. Like Paul from the New Testament, you, too, may know that you are not yet who God wants you to be (Philippians 3:12). In this series, Pastor Rick shares the steps that will help you move forward toward your goal of being transformed into Christ-likeness in every area of your life: Spiritual, Physical, Mental, Emotional, Relational, Financial and Vocational. Please contact Greg or Tammy Hoskinson by email or by phone at 620.474.9574 if you are interested in participating.

Beginning tonight, our new wrap-up time for our Mid-Week Gatherings will be 8 pm and no longer 8:30.
|
We will leave next Friday, June 5th at 8 am. Please be at HFN by 7:45.
We will return to HFN on Monday, June 8th, by 5 pm. Destination: Camp Table Rock - 2079 Peninsula Drive, Shell Knob, MO 65747 - (417) 858-9222
Meal money will be needed for traveling to and from the camp. All participating students are encouraged to partake in some form of a Media Fast . The Camp Reg. form calls for a total media fast and interested students are invited to participate. However, all camp-bound students are invited to give up some form of media as a means of preparing to experience and hear from God at camp. The idea behind the fast is that we often get the most from the things that we have the most invested in. Please encourage your student to participate in the fast.

Mission Offering Received Tonight
Our 2015 KNYI Mission Project is to raise $2,000 for a motorcycle for our Nazarene Missionaries in Nepal. A few weeks ago, students were challenged to participate in the Biblical practice of tithing. This would be a great way for your student to share some of their own (not mom & dad's) wealth with God and others. We will take up an offering tonight May 27th. Please talk with your student about participating and encourage them to do so.
|

Beginning This Wednesday, May 27th

$2 meals will resume Wednesday, August 19th.

Upcoming Sunday Morning Small Group Topics
For the summer, we are modifying our Normal Sunday Morning Small Group format. For the first 5-6 Sundays, we will splitting into 2 groups (instead of our normal 5). Stacy Moore will be facilitating one group and the topic of conversation will be Sex & Dating. Pastor Josh Moore will be teaching the second group and our topic of discussion will be Hard Questions About God and Faith. Students will have the option to choose which group they want to be in. I would encourage you over these next few weeks to ask your students what was talked about and use our Sunday morning conversations as means to help your students process why they believe what they believe and why they should have certain standards and convictions. I'd love to chat or grab coffee or whatever if I can be of any help to you as you talk with your student(s).
|
Sunday, June 7th
We will not have Sunday Morning Small Groups on Sunday, June 7th (including the Parents Of Teens class) as many of our high school students will be gone to camp, and the VBS program will be happening at 10:45.
