AlabasterOfferingThis Coming Sunday, February 15th
Alabaster Offering is an opportunity to support the purchase of land and construction of churches, schools, medical facilities and homes for missionaries and national workers around the world. Buildings erected for the purpose of ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to "put down roots." The entire Alabaster Offering received goes toward these purchases.
star We will receive our Alabaster Offering on two Sundays, February 15th and 22nd. You can place your Alabaster Offering in the designated container at either Welcome Center or include it in your regular giving. Please designate Alabaster Offering on your check or giving envelope.

These Forty Days
A Lenten Devotional
by Jeren Rowell
According to the Scriptures the devil tempted Jesus during a period of fasting and prayer that was preparation for Jesus' public ministry and passion. Throughout the Bible, times of desert preparation often preceded significant ministry. This is why we observe the season preceding Easter as a time for spiritual focus. These Forty Days is a simple guide for the reading of Scripture, reflection, prayer, and response. By beginning each day with intention, these devotionals will shape each of your hours with a heightened sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's teaching and guidance.
star Copies of this helpful devotional is now available at the Welcome Center and may be purchased for $8 each.
star Jeren Rowell serves as district superintendent of the Kansas City District Church of the Nazarene and has pastored more than 25 years. Dr. Rowell has served as editor of Preacher's Magazine and contributed to numerous books.

Important Dillon's Fundraiser Changes
Dillon's has revamped their Neighborhood Rewards Program, renamed it Community Rewards, and has made some major changes.
- Reloadable gift cards will not longer be needed and HFN will no longer get credit for the loading of the current cards after Jan. 31st.
- Under the new program, participants will need to visit the Dillon's website, create an account if they don't already have one, and register for Community Rewards using our group code which is "10140".
- After your Plus Shoppers Card has been registered, we will begin receiving 5% of what you spend on "qualifying purchases" every time you use your card.
- Payments to us will begin coming quarterly instead of monthly.
- Gas will no longer be a "qualifying purchase".
- And perhaps the biggest change, Dillon's will no longer be sending statements to us containing the details of who spent what, they will only send us a check and the number of participants we have. So, it is no longer going to be possible for us to know who spent what and that means that we will most likely begin dividing the proceeds up amongst the students who's families participate. We will continue to iron out the details as we move forward.
- Please contact Joni Blosser or  Pastor Josh with questions.
