star Grace Based Parenting: Building Character
Begins Tonight at 6:30 pm
All parents are invited to attend this study that will give parents the confidence and skills to
raise kids
who flourish in their culture by building  character for life.
The Building Character small group study will help you:
  • Instill six critical character traits that a child needs to turn out right
  • Prepare kids for the biggest challenges of life-loneliness, fear, temptation, betrayal
  • Minimize the hassles of parenting
  • Maximizes the potential of your children's future
  • Apply practical lessons that work with your kids
Like a blueprint serves the builder of a beautiful home, this study will give you practical ways to use character to build happy, confident children who can stand strong and reach their true potential in the future. This class will meet Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm beginning January 28th. For more information or to register please contact Pastor Mark Hall.

Next Monday, February 2nd

The Soles For Souls delivery truck will be in Hutchinson this coming Monday, February 2nd, to pick up the 3,000 (Wow!) pairs of shoes that were collected during the last several months. Volunteers, both young and old, are needed to help load the shoes from their storage place onto the truck next Monday at 4:00 pm at 102 E 4th Street (north side of building - it's the old Pizza Hut east of McDonalds). Contact Kelly Love or Deanna Willard if you will be able to help. Thank you so much for all the donations and for your help in this final phase of the project.
star Alabaster Offering To Be Received
AlabasterOfferingSunday, February 15th
Alabaster Offering is an opportunity to support the purchase of land and construction of churches, schools, medical facilities and homes for missionaries and national workers around the world. Buildings erected for the purpose of ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to "put down roots." The entire Alabaster Offering received goes toward these purchases.
star We will receive our Alabaster Offering on Sundays, February 15th and 22nd. You can place your Alabaster Offering in the designated container at either Welcome Center or include it in your regular giving. Please designate Alabaster Offering on your check or giving envelope.

Important Dillon's Fundraiser Changes
Dillon's has revamped their Neighborhood Rewards Program, renamed it Community Rewards, and has made some major changes.
- Reloadable gift cards will not longer be needed and HFN will no longer get credit for the loading of the current cards after Jan. 31st.
- Under the new program, participants will need to visit the Dillon's website, create an account if they don't already have one, and register for Community Rewards using our group code which is "10140".
- After your Plus Shoppers Card has been registered, we will begin receiving 5% of what you spend on "qualifying purchases" every time you use your card.
- Payments to us will begin coming quarterly instead of monthly.
- Gas will no longer be a "qualifying purchase".
- And perhaps the biggest change, Dillon's will no longer be sending statements to us containing the details of who spent what, they will only send us a check and the number of participants we have. So, it is no longer going to be possible for us to know who spent what and that means that we will most likely begin dividing the proceeds up amongst the students who's families participate. We will continue to iron out the details as we move forward.
- Please contact Joni Blosser or  Pastor Josh with questions.
Spring Break Mission Trip
