Ministry Friends Newsletter
April 2016
Dear Ministry Friend,
How appropriate that this newsletter is going out on our Amy's 21st birthday (April 12)! What an amazing God-story she has been and continues to be.

Thank you!!!
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Thank you for your support -- your prayers, financial contributions, and encouragement keep us on a steady path.
A word from a supporter - like you:
Amazing! Julie and Tom, I'm ashamed to say that the day to day demands have kept me from really looking at what you are doing for children, families and the Lord. I have always prayed for and rejoiced with you as you have gone through the past months since you made the determination to create Champions4Parents. I don't think I understood March Forth Family in its full measure at all. (www.marchforthfamily.com )
Today is spring break, and when I saw your email I decided to take a minute and watch Amy's amazing video. I took the time. That led me to a couple more of her videos on YouTube, and then to MarchForthFamily.com. I've just been blessed by a little over an hour of watching, and reading, and learning in much greater detail about what you do. I am honored and blessed to have you as friends in Christ, and so thrilled at the ministry you have created and how you are providing assistance to others. Just wishing you were here in my kitchen so I could give you a big hug, but suffice it to say that I've walked a "laugh and cry journey" with you today. I love the integrated nutrition video you did, and read so many of the comments, blogs, etc. Thank you for sharing with our Life Group what you are doing and allowing us to be a small part of it, and to pray for you as you make such a difference in the lives of so many.
Everyone else, if you haven't done this already...please look at ..., Amy's video, above, and take-no make-- some time to check it out.
God Bless you all,
Bev

Events and other ministry happenings:
We are so happy to report that your support allows us to do ministry in ways we could not have imagined. Just last week, Julie was invited and accepted to serve on the board of a new foundation being formed which mission is to "provide financial assistance to families in need with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The financial assistance provided will be delegated towards providing therapies to children who otherwise would go without. The foundation will be implemented as a Christian ministry to minister to families with Autism Spectrum Disorder." We look forward to seeing what doors God will open with this opportunity.
April 20, 2016 - This month's webinar entitled, "Sensory Integration, Understanding Your Child's Struggle", where we help parents uncover root causes for sensory concerns and help them with the "what to do about it" piece. We have parents and ministry leaders registered from all over the USA.
Also, the evening on April 20th, we begin hosting a monthly local support group for special needs parents.
April 22-23, 2016 - We man a booth at the Maryland Christian Homeschool Curriculum Fair in Frederick, Maryland. This is a great opportunity to chat with parents who are trying to figure out how to educate a challenging child at home.
Training Opportunity
April 15-16, 2016 - We will be attending the annual special needs conference called "Accessibility Summit" in McClain, Virginia. We are looking forward to learning about more ways to serve and love on special needs parents.
Prayer Point: -
There are several other pastors and ministry leaders who desire us to come and support them in their parenting ministry through speaking. We are prayerfully brainstorming next steps. Please be in prayer for these leaders as they present ideas to their organizations.
-
Please pray that we would be keenly listening to the Holy Spirit's nudging for who to invite to be part of the ministry team.
-
Continue to pray for the parents and families with whom we work. We do private coaching to encourage and empower parents as they walk an often lonely and difficult path of raising a special needs child or a child with challenges.
-
Pray that our ministry financial needs would be met. We have a goal to be fully funded by July of this year. We are at 20% of our goal of monthly giving.
Thank you! We love having you on our ministry team! PEF Ministry mailing address for donations by mail: Ministry of Tom and Julie Meekins Presbyterian Evangelistic Fellowship 100 5th Street, suite 330 Bristol, TN 37620 When sending your gift, please be sure it is designated to the ministry of Tom and Julie Meekins. Thank you! Love, Tom, Julie, and Amy
