March Forth!
Note From Julie and Tom
Dear One,

Our letter to you this time is a "video message". We did it! A video together - the 3 of us to love on YOU - our March Forth Family. One of us is a little camera shy (and it isn't Tom or Amy) but we realize that videos are a great way for you to hear our hearts.

Belly Time for Babies and Olders Who Need It.
(Another in the series "A Simple Tip to a Calmer Kid" by Tom and Julie Meekins of
Why belly time? There is so much vital development that takes place when a baby spends time on their belly. Neck, back, shoulders, and trunk of a child are strengthened during tummy time which is necessary for crawling and creeping later on. Crawling and Creeping in a good cross pattern motion is vital for the rest of development including behavior, academics, and social skills. Visual development is also taking place during tummy time. Who knew?

Mommy Guilt
By Julie Meekins

Let's face it. Most mamas at some time in the lives of their children will face Mommy Guilt.

3 reasons how Mommy Guilt steals joy in parenting:

  1. It often stems from comparing yourself with others.
  2. It serves no purpose other than to make you feel bad and render you "off your game" as a mom.
  3. It creates the false idea that you should be perfect all the time.

Comparing yourself to another mom is never a good idea. You have NO idea what life is REALLY like for that other mom. What may look good on the outside is just that - on the outside. You cannot truly know the intimate personal struggles of that other mom. No one knows what goes on in their home and family or what stresses with extended family and friends she endures.
