STOMP The Monster 5K and Festival

The heat couldn't stop our fantastic 3rd Annual STOMP the Monster 5K in June.  We had a record number of people in our 5K, One Mile Walk, and Kids Stomp, reaching over 1,800 participants. With the great combined efforts of our fundraisers, sponsors, and supporters, STOMP the Monster raised over $100,000 - far surpassing our goal of $50,000! These contributions will enable us to help hundreds of cancer patients and their families and it is all thanks to your participation.  There was fun to be had everywhere and great food and treats given out by our amazing sponsors at the Marlboro Recreation Center.    We are sending a huge thank you WOW - our title sponsor, the corporate and event sponsors, the participants, volunteers, fans and spectators, Marlboro Police, and Marlboro Recreation Center for the great help in making our STOMP the Monster 5K a success.  Save June 1, 2014 for next year's festive event.

STOMP! How we Help...

Help for brave young girl...

Stomp The Monster was contacted  by the mother of an 11 year old girl who was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer in September 2010.  A year later, after completing chemotherapy and surgery to remove her tumor she developed metastatic pulmonary lesions.  She endured more chemotherapy and has undergone four pulmonary resections.  She is currently on an ongoing cycle of chemotherapy with no end in sight.  This child was being admitted for surgery on an infected prosthesis in her leg where the original tumor was removed.  She will remain in the hospital for surgery and rehabilitation for at least eight weeks.  Her mother has two other children and relies on public transportation to get back and forth to the hospital.  Stomp The Monster was able to pay this families rent to free up the necessary funds needed for transportation.  We were able to give this family some relief when they needed it the most.
