Pittsburgh Continues to Add Jobs

Dear Friend,

Job growth in Greater Pittsburgh is continuing at a slow and steady pace.  Preliminary figures for July show that the region added 12,400 jobs since July 2013 -- a 1.1 percent increase. In percentage terms that placed Pittsburgh 14th among the 15 benchmark regions and below the benchmark average of 2 percent job growth. Leading the regions was Denver with 3.2 percent job growth; Detroit added jobs at the lowest rate at .9 percent.
