Another record hit for region's labor force |
Dear Friend,
For the eighth month in a row, the Pittsburgh region has reached a record number of people in the labor force. The number of unemployed as well as the number of employed continue to grow. Taken together, the three indicate a strengthening economy.
The region's unemployment rate increased as well as more and more people entered the workforce. However, the unemployment rate in the Pittsburgh region remains below the benchmark and national averages.
