Snovember is on!
November just started and so did the ski season! Several ski resorts have already opened with perfect fresh snow, a few others will follow this month and our season officially starts in December. What's new from our end is that we're partnering up with CNN, we've installed our first campaign on our new high-end indoor media network and we present you with a new Shoot My Ride 2.0 HD product video. Plenty of entertainment in this newsletter too: Viral Video of a 3 year old stuntman, James Bond Mania, a ski lift running on cow poop and fighter pilot ski goggles by Oakley. Plenty to enjoy we hope, have a great Snovember!

NEW: Indoor Media Installation for Reusch in Soelden (AT)

MediaMountain has just finalised the installation (click here for more pictures) of several premium indoor media locations, including the above location in Soelden, Austria. Placed in the best, unmissable spots to target the millions of visitors, global sports glove brand Reusch has the honour to be the first brand to shine here the coming winter season. Literally shining, because the panels are LED backlit and thereby really unmissable to passengers!

Our new indoor network will be rolled out across 15 resorts this winter in Austria, France and Switzerland. All locations are selected based on a high Winter and Summer traffic. The latest resort added to the network is Avoriaz (concept above), here MediaMountain will install 17 premium frames across 3 main ski lift buildings. The locations in Avoriaz will achieve 15 million media contacts each year!

Snow Trivia
James Bond 50 years: all ski scenes in one overview!
What better way to celebrate the 50th anniversay of the 007 films than a look back at all the ski scenes, a snowboarding scene and even a downhill on a cello case ("The Living Daylights"). If you'll pay attention, you'll notice that Sean Connery, never made it to the slopes. Btw, the most famous MediaMountain resort in these scenes: Cortina D'Ampezzo!

Snow Innovation
A skilift on cow poop |
 |
This season, a high-speed gondola ski lift in Killington (Vermont, USA) will run entirely on renewable energy generated by cow poop! 13 farms with 13.000 cows generate 1.1 mio liters of manure/ day. Turned into biogas and then into electricity, these cows indirectly contribute to cleaner winter sports fun. Isn't that something?

Snow Gadget
£500 Oakley Goggles
|
 |
The Oakley Airwave goggles have no golden or diamond frames. Still it should be well worth the 500 GBP! What about these fighter pilot-style features: a small heads-up display in the corner of your eye shows speed, location, incoming emails, altitude and much more! The future looks very cool indeed! Santa?
