Hunter/Jumper News!
The successful 2010 show season for the McQuay Stables hunter/jumper team culminated at the Dallas Harvest Charity Show in Tyler, TX. What a great year we had!! Thank you to all of our great clients and staff for making it possible. We are looking forward to the 2011 season and all the exciting possiblities it holds for us.

Hunter/Jumper Show Results:
The Texas Sport Horse Cup, held in Tyler, TX during the first week of September was a great show for Bernadette Mulliken and her two amateur owner hunters. She was Champion in the 3'3" A/O on Undeniable as well as Reserve Champion in the 36+ A/O and second in the A/O hunter classic on Russian Hill!!

Alexandra Ansteth and Weston placed tenth in the $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby at the 2010 Fleur de Lis Classic Horse Show. The Fleur de Lis Classic was held on October 30-31 at the beautiful Fleur de lis Farms in Bartonville, TX.

This year's Dallas Harvest Charity Horse Show, held at the Texas Rose Horse Park in Tyler, TX, wrapped up a great showing year for us. A special thank you to Will Roberts for piloting Russian Hill to the reserve championship in the Regular Confirmation Hunters. He also rode Sam Sloun to great ribbons in the Pre-Green Hunters. Alex had continued success with LuLu and Eastern Sea in the Baby Green Hunters as well as Undeniable in the Pre-Green Hunters. Latino III completed her second horse show, earning multiple blue ribbons in the .95M Jumpers with Alex while Madison Billings and Jamestown placed well in the High Childrens Jumper Division.

 Reining News!
Our Reiners recently returned from the 2010 Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity in Ardmore, OK, where Mandy McCutcheon took the Non-Pro Futurity class by storm! Not only did she win the class on Always Gotyer Gunsup with an outstanding score of 225.5, she also claimed second and third place on My Gunner Enterprise and Hidin Gunner! All three horses are sired by $2 Million Dollar Sire Colonels Smoking Gun (Gunner)! Congratulations Mandy!! Tim McQuay and Marco Ricotta were also among the finalists in the Open Futurity. Tim qualified aboard Show Your Guns, owned by Steve Harris, and Smokingserendipity, owned by Moises Navarro and Marco was aboard Colonel Tinseltown, owned by David and Bonnie Silva. Congratulations to all who brought home winnings checks! Go Team McQuay!
McQuay's reining team is now gearing up for the NRHA Futurity held at the State Fair Arena in Oklahoma City late November through early December. The team will depart on November 22, and return December 5, 2010. |
