How to Find Meaning in Your Past Lives and the "Interlife"
|
|
|
In almost 20 years of teaching and bringing people together, I have seen many deep friendships form in the energy of healing. This is one of them. Sadly, last week, I received this note - and in honor of them all, I share this with you. Hold your friends and loved ones close - this lifetime passes so quickly.
Rest with our love, Barb.
Namaste,
Hello Georgina,
Almost 11 years ago to the day, I walked into a classroom of 18 or so people and sat next in the seat at the front of the class, next to a vivacious grey-haired lady. She was dressed all in black and wearing turquoise jewelry. We were about to take your certification course in hypnotism. She and I bonded immediately. We became the closest of friends, soul-sisters, confidantes. | Barbara Goodwin, Ormond McGill, Susan Jennifer Grace: Spreading Light |
Today, I am teaching the first day of that very same course, and as I teach, I am waiting for a phone call that is imminent. My beautiful friend and colleague, Barb, is not expected to make it through the day. I cannot be there with her for several hours, but if she can hold on until late afternoon, I will end class early to go and say my goodbyes to a wonderful, gentle lady. Barb was as passionate about hypnotism as I am. She would insist that I teach the course today. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Susan

You Are Not Your Story
| |
You are not your 'story'. Who You Are is so much bigger than that. It's okay to give up your past now.
Most of us have a story about how we got to be the way we are, about what it's like to be 'us,' and about why it is so difficult sometimes to get through life.
All of this is stuff that has nothing to do with who we are now. How often do you 'come from' your 'story' when you experience life? Are you ready to let go of that now? What if you could create 'you' the way you want to be,
rather than the way you think you are?
Wouldn't that be great? Well, you can.
All you have to do is let go of your story.

Tribe Mentality
| |
By Dr. Will Horton
| Dr. Horton |
Humans are creatures that seek out groups, (a herd or packs) it is part of our DNA from our hunter gatherer days, we strive to find groups that support and nurture us in some way.
How many tribes are you in? I have different "groups" that bring different aspects to help me Theater & acting as it brings out art & expression. Martial arts for discipline and physical (and my exercise groups) Recovery groups for recovery.
My current research points out that belonging to several groups, where you build different types of intimate friendships helps you in every area of your life. It also helps when a group leaves (or you leave a group) as you have another to fall back on.
The sign of a cult is not allowing members to receive nurturing from anywhere else. A healthy group, tribe, family should encourage you to explore new possibilities as the experiences you bring back only strengthen the group. A strong leader knows this, a weak one fears it.

Your Question...My Answer
| |
Q: What is the difference between being nice and being kind?
A: Being nice is not making a fuss and letting things happen to you. Not protesting.
Being kind is about deliberately giving the best of yourself, to yourself and others - and standing up for kindness to everyone and everything.
Keep the questions coming!
