Communications
 | | Communications Director Colleen Cameron |
The Communications Committee is working assiduously to revamp the varied communications media of the Association, namely Take Note, the Facebook and Linked-in group pages and the AFETT website, in keeping with our theme of Engagement, Empowerment and Transformation. In addition, efforts are being made - within the organisations's financial constraints, to heighten the Association's profile in several spheres and networking circles. We may therefore be calling on membership to appear on the Association's behalf on television talk shows and serve on influential panels and we do hope that members will accept these challenges as they are presented. We also are quietly seeking out strategic partnerships with like-minded organisations such as the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, with whom we have mutual interests. As we celebrate the 10th Anniversary, we aim to ensure that AFETT is recognised and respected as the leading organisation for upcoming and female executives. Members who have interest in Communications are invited to get on board and send an email to afettcommunication@gmail.com.

The First Aid CPR and AED program teaches the principles of basic life support for adults, children, and infants. It provides the latest guidelines for CPR and emergency cardiac care, starting with how to assess the scene of an emergency and take stock of the victim's condition. The course details how to perform one-rescuer CPR and rescue breathing, and how to manage choking in a conscious person. It also addresses infection control. The AED portion of the program details key operating characteristics and shows you proper precautions and maintenance techniques.
