10 AM           Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses and the financial contribution they bring to our local economy. Shoppers can use their FREE "Buy Downtown Sebring" card to save money while supporting local businesses. 10AM-8PM. www.BuyDowntownSebring.com

Join us as Santa officially arrives - in special transportation - for the Heartland Holiday Festival with festive music and photo opportunities in Circle Park. Grab lunch at food vendors and hang out with Santa until 1 PM. He will return again at 6 PM for the Circle Lighting Ceremony.

Do you love holiday beverages? Pick up your souvenir logo'd Heartland Holiday

Festival tumbler glass with lid (quantities limited) at Heartland Real Estate Corp.'s Downtown Office (205 Circle Park Dr) for $15 or 2 for $20.  Stroll and shop the participating 10+ Downtown Sebring merchants who will offer various festive beverages to sample, such as egg nog, apple cider, wine, coffee & tea.

 

6 PM         Circle Lighting Ceremony

Join us as we light up Downtown Sebring's Circle Park for the 26th Annual Christmas Carousel of Lights - the area's largest holiday light display.  Free.

 

Dec. 6

6-6:30 PM Christmas Caroling by Highlands Little Theatre

Get in the holiday spirit while waiting for the annual Sebring Christmas Parade with Christmas caroling performed by costumed members of Highlands Little Theatre. Carolers will begin at 101 Circle Park Dr & may roam the crowd.  

 

7:00 PM   Christmas Parade sponsored by the Heartland Young Professionals

The annual Downtown Sebring Christmas Parade will be themed "A Classic Christmas" and feature a special celebrity guest appearance by the Budweiser Clydesdales.

7 PM    A Classical Christmas - Holiday Concert

First Baptist Sebring Worship Choir presents "A Classical Christmas" Holiday Concert featuring the Sebring High School Choirs and music by Bach, Vivaldi, Rutter and more. Proceeds go to the Sebring High School Choir Fund. Get FREE ticket by calling (863) 385-5154.

Cookiefest

Kids of all ages will have a blast finding their inner pastry chef and artist at the multi-day Cookiefest that will be held at the Sebring Civic Center (355 W. Center St. located on Lake Jackson) Dec. 12-14.

Come "Shop, Wrap & Roll" in Downtown Sebring with a Wine Walk in Historic Downtown Sebring on Friday, Dec. 13. 6-7 PM  Christmas Caroling  

The 8th annual Downtown Sebring Christmas Caroling will be held during the Friday Wine Walk. Enjoy the lights and holiday festivities and sing along with the Unity carolers to old festive favorites and stroll the businesses during an evening of fun and celebration. Times Vary         The Gift of the Magi - a play by Highlands Little Theatre

"The Gift of the Magi" is a short story written by O. Henry (a pen name for William Sydney Porter), about a young married couple and how they deal with the challenge of buying secret Christmas gifts for each other with very little money. As a sentimental story with a moral lesson about gift-giving, it has been a popular one for adaptation, especially for presentation at Christmas time. www.HighlandsLittleTheatre.org.

What to do after Thanksgiving?  Come on down to historic Downtown Sebring as we kick off the null month-long Heartland Holiday Festival on Nov. 29 and celebrate Small Business Saturday all day long on Nov. 30. The Holiday Sip & Shop coincides with Small Business Saturday, which is an awareness campaign started by American Express that takes place in local communities across the nation to support local business that  create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country. The day was created in 2010 in response to small business owners needing more customers buy downtown card in the tough economy.  Sebring shoppers can use their FREE "Buy Downtown Sebring" card to save money while they support local merchants. Stores are encouraged to be open from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

 World-Famous Budweiser Clydesdales To Appear in Sebring Christmas Parade

 

As part of the Heartland Holiday Festival, Push Event Productions is pleased to announce that the Dec. 6 Sebring Christmas Parade - which is organized by the Heartland Young Professionals - will feature a special celebrity guest appearance by the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales.  

  

These "Gentle Giants," as they are often referred to, are a symbol of quality and tradition for Anheuser-Busch since 1933. Their appearance in Sebring coincides with a special presentation to Bernie Little Distributors for winning Anheuser-Busch's Ambassadors of Excellence award.

  

  

The annual Christmas Parade, which is held in Downtown Sebring each year, will feature the theme "A Classic Christmas." The parade will start at 7:00 p.m. and the route will run south starting at the corner of Sebring Parkway and N. Ridgewood Dr., around the Circle, to S. Commerce Ave. It will end at McClain Lane by Firemen's Field.

Heartland Holiday Festival Scavenger Hunt To Be Held in Downtown Sebring

Winner Receives a $1,000 Delray Beach Vacation

 

As part of the Heartland Holiday Festival, Push Event Productions is pleased to announce that the month-long Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Sebring will officially start this Saturday, Nov. 30. The Scavenger Hunt provides an interactive opportunity for Festival-goers of all ages to get to know the Downtown Sebring merchants by answering questions about several places of business.

 

Participants can find the list of clues in the Festival program (available at Downtown merchants and the Downtown Chamber of Commerce office), answer at least eight questions correctly, complete the form and return it to Dogtown USA (112 N. Ridgewood Dr) by Dec. 23 at 5:00 PM. Scavenger hunters who follow the directions correctly will be entered to win a $1,000 vacation to Delray Beach courtesy of the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority and the Hyatt Place Delay Beach.  

 

The vacation package includes three nights at the Hyatt Place Delray Beach, two  complimentary dining experiences, one spa treatment and a yacht cruise along Florida's Intracoastal Waterway.

Holiday Gift Mart Vendor Applications Now Being Accepted

What began as a vision to bring people from Florida's Heartland region to the Downtown 
Sebring area to enjoy the beauty and history of our community, has become one of the most highly-anticipated events of the year!

Event organizers are hosting a Holiday Gift Mart on Dec. 14-15 as part of the Heartland  Holiday Festival, which will be held at the Sebring Civic Center.   If  you  have gift items to promote and sell and are interested in being a vendor, please visit the Festival Website for additional details regarding vendor space.

Cookiefest Invades Downtown Sebring Dec. 12-14 

 

As part of the Heartland Holiday Festival, Push Event Productions is pleased to announce the start of Cookiefest Dec. 12-14.  Kids of all ages will have a blast finding their inner pastry chef and artist at the multi-day Cookiefest that will be held at the Sebring Civic Center (355 W. Center Street located on Lake Jackson).

 

Stations will be set up for attendees to decorate their own cookies for Santa with Chef Mac from the Palms of Sebring. Plus, they can learn how to frost and decorate cupcakes for Santa or for gifts with Chef Jen from Jen's Cakery & Bakery. And to round out their Cookiefest experience, the Highlands Art League will be there with fun interactive arts and crafts activities for the kids, such as pop up holiday cards. In addition, they will host a Santa Letter Writing station. Once completed, these letters will be  delivered to Santa via Macy's, which will donate $1 for each letter received to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

 

Everything made by attendees will be available to take home, except the Santa Letters, which will go to Macy's. Milk and goodies will be provided by the Florida Dairy Farmers, Inc. while supplies last.  

 

Admission to the Civic Center is free; small fee to participate in the creative fun! Cookiefest will also take place on Thursday, Dec. 12 & Friday, Dec. 13 from 4-8 PM and again on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 8-10 AM.
