October 4-6: Run to the Heartland

Oct. 11 -Spooktacular Sip & Stroll hosted by Destination Downtown Sebring

Oct. 11 - Spooktacular Furry Friends & Family Photo Shoot Fundraiser
Stop by Sadie Kahn Park (N. Ridgewood Dr) from 5-9 PM with guest photographers Jennifer Goodson, Hector Gautier and Keith Goodson.  For just a $10 donation, get a professional portrait of your child or pet with all proceeds benefiting the Cornerstone Hospice Pet Peace of Mind Program.  Some pet costumes will be provided courtesy of Dogtown USA. Oct. 12: Pink Army Strut
Dress up in your best pink outfit and celebrate a "Night Out" complete with swag bags, live music, mocktails and more (limited to the first 500 RSVPs) at 6:00 PM with your $20 advance registration.  Prizes for the best pink costumes.  Funds benefit the Florida Hospital Heartland Mammography Fund.  Visit www.JoinThePinkArmy.com.

Oct. 12: Annual Walk to End Alzheimer's
The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.  Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.  The walk will be held from 9:00 AM - Noon in Circle Park and N. Oct. 12: Saturday Night Cruise
Held the 2nd Saturday of each month 5-8 p.m., cruisers come from near and far to Sebring's Downtown Circle to see classic cars, listen to live entertainment and enjoy delicious food.  www.SebringCruise.com

Oct. 19: 28th Annual Zenon Awards Show

Oct. 26: Founder's Day Celebration Event

Oct. 26 - FUN Family Falloween presented by Sebring Church of Brethren
Children of all ages will have fun trick or treating in a safe, indoor environment from 4:30 - 6:30 PM at the church (700 S. Pine St). Oct. 28 - Volunteering is Not Scary

Oct. 29: What's Up Downtown Sebring?
Held the last Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM, these informational meetings are open to the public to discuss events and issues impacting Downtown Sebring.  This meeting held at Palms of Sebring (725 S. Pine St). 

Oct. 31 - Sebring Halloween Bash

Oct. 31 - Ghost Tours
From 6-10 PM, join Highlands Little Theatre for a guided ghost tour in Downtown Sebring.  Guides & performers will tell ghost stories along the route. 20 people max/tour.  Kids under 5=free.  Adults $8 in advance, $10 at the door.  Youth $3 in advance, $5 at the door.  www.HighlandsLittleTheatre.org

Holiday Gift Mart Vendor Applications Now Being Accepted

What began as a vision to bring people from Florida's Heartland region to the Downtown null
Sebring area to enjoy the beauty and history of our community, has become one of the most highly-anticipated events of the year! The Heartland Holiday Festival is a four-week event (Nov. 29 - Dec. 23) that will celebrate some of our favorite things about the holiday season....the holiday lights, festive music, smiling faces, Santa Claus, gift giving and spending time with friends and family.  

This inaugural year of the festival will feature the ever popular Carousel of Lights, Holiday Gift Mart, Cookiefest, Saturdays With Santa, outdoor holiday movie, evening visits by Santa Claus, activities and games for the kids, live entertainment, Christmas Parade, Black Friday Kick Off Shopping Event and more!

Event organizers are hosting a Holiday Gift Mart on Dec. 14-15 as part of the Heartland Holiday Festival, which will be held at the Sebring Civic Center.   If  you  have gift items to promote and sell and are interested in being a vendor, please visit the Festival Website for additional details regarding vendor space.

Beach Yoga Offered Three Times A Week in Downtown Sebring  

   Join yoga instructor Nicole LaPlaca every Thursday for a 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM beach yoga  class and every Saturday at 7:30 AM on the shores of beautiful Lake Jackson at Downtown Sebring's City Pier Beach (351 W. Center St.).

Downtown Business Owners Plan to Form Association  
On Sept. 24, the Downtown Sebring Business Owners and Merchants agreed to move forward with developing a formal association in order to foster interest in and awareness of the diversity of Downtown Sebring's commercial district and to promote the success of individual businesses operating there through publicity, creative marketing and exciting public events designed to attract new and repeat visitors to our vibrant and historic downtown area.
