Florida Redevelopment Expert To Address Downtown Sebring
ferrer The Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) invites you to join us on Thursday, May 2 at 5:30 PM at the Sebring Civic Center as we welcome Marjorie Ferrer to Sebring to speak with our community once again about redevelopment and the opportunities we have within the Downtown Sebring district. Ferrer is an inspiring speaker and a well-respected leader in the area of downtown redevelopment.

As Executive Director for the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) since 1993, Ferrer has spearheaded the revitalization of the City to encompass daytime and nighttime economy and activity. In less than two decades, Ferrer has initiated concepts that have been instrumental to Delray Beach's emergence as a thriving downtown, including Clean & Safe Initiatives, directing award-winning marketing campaigns and promotions that drive economic growth throughout the community.

Under her dedicated leadership and tireless efforts, Delray Beach continues to be successfully night and day delray branded as the Village by the Sea. Her responsibilities encompass promoting Delray Beach locally, regionally, nationally and internationally, which has been voted "Most Fun Small Town in the USA" last year by Rand McNally, USA Today and the Travel Channel.

Simultaneous to the DDA position, she also served as Executive Director of the Delray Beach Downtown Marketing Cooperative from 1993-2010, successfully coordinating a partnership between the Chamber of Commerce, the Community Redevelopment Agency, the Downtown Development Authority and the City of Delray Beach drawing millions of visitors and residents to the town through events. Many of the signature events included the World Famous 100-Foot Christmas Tree, First Night and Art & Jazz on the Avenue, all of which generated over $4 million in monetary sponsor support and more that $11 million in in-kind sponsor support for the events and programs.

Please join us in hearing Ferrer speak on Thursday, May 2 at 5:30 PM at the Sebring Civic Center.  If you are involved at all in Downtown Sebring or concerned with its redevelopment, this is a can't miss event.
