Jan. 5: Crossfit Sebring's Fitness Fest Crossfit, one of the fastest growing trends in fitness, is hosting a training seminar on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 9:00 AM. Jan. 8, 10, & 15: 'Art Uncorked' Class The Highlands Art League's (HAL) new classes are a fun way to unwind and explore your inner artist. Starting at 6:00 PM, enjoy painting one complete project/evening over wine. Classes will be held at HAL's Visual Arts Center (1985 Lakeview Drive; next to the Sebring Civic Center on Lake Jackson). Each class is $35, lasts about 2.5 hours. All supplies, wine and light snacks included. Attendees are welcome to bring wine and food. The Smithsonian Institution is in Downtown Sebring Until Jan. 19
The Highlands Art League's Museum of the Arts (MOTA) is hosting a traveling Smithsonian Institute exhibit in Downtown Sebring until January 19 that is free for the public to attend. The Florida Humanities Council, in partnership with the Smithsonian Institute, is sponsoring the Florida tour of Journey Stories - an exhibit that uses images, audio and artifacts to illustrate the critical roles that traveling and movement have played in building our diverse American society. MOTA is in need of docents to volunteer their time and assist with the exhibit. The Retail Academy is a series of workshops designed for small retail businesses in the Downtown Sebring CRA District. This series is presented by the Sebring Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) for Downtown Sebring business owners, managers, volunteers and employees. In this first workshop, you will learn how to provide exceptional customer service and merchandise your business for sales success! Why You Should Attend?
