During this month, more than 63 million US households will pay a bill or two on-line. Chances are you're one of them, preferring the flexibility and convenience of banking on-line.
This year, almost half of all US consumers will make an on-line purchase. Why? Because the web makes shopping easy.
And while half are shopping on line, another third or more will purchase air or hotel reservations on-line. Accessing travel info from anywhere any time puts you in control.
And during lunch breaks or late at night when the kids are tucked in, 12 million US households are using the web to trade stocks and manage their investments.
It seems a lot of people are on the cloud. And you have to ask yourself, if you use the web to make your personal life a tad bit more convenient and easier to manage, then why not use the web to manage your practice, too?

Power Thought: Jameson Management
Women hold a powerful role in dentistry today. There are growing numbers of female dental school students. There are increasing numbers of practicing female dentists. The vast majority of dental auxiliary are female. In addition, approximately 55% of dental patients are female and 85% of dental buying decisions are made by females. So, if one asks the question, "is there power in the female role in dentistry today?", the answer must be "yes".
In my own interviews with women, here, in order of preference, are the stated priorities of how women wish to be treated in the dental practice:
- Equality
- Respect
- Communication
- Treat others as you would wish to be treated
As a business, focusing on the care of all of your customer's - male and female - makes sense. In today's dental world, taking excellent care of customers is essential if practice growth and development is to take place. Certainly providing excellent treatment is essential. However, do not underestimate the effect of the patient's experience with you-before, during and after their appointment. Be committed to uplifting your customer/patient service.
