Hi
What are the Costs? How much are you really spending on software.
| |

Why the Web?
Reason #149
|
The Web Matches Your Lifestyle
In the last four years I've moved much of my life to the cloud. The resulting convenience and flexibility of being able to access whatever whenever has been liberating.
For a dental professional, the cloud provides a great deal of freedom. A stop at the coffee shop in the morning provides an opportunity to review the day's schedule, read notes, examine an x-ray or two. At home, you may be the type who likes to catch up on clinical notes after the kids are asleep. While traveling, if the office calls with questions you'll have full access to all practice information. If a patient calls while you're at the grocery store, your smartphone can deliver the basic patient information and schedule to help you make fact-based decisions.
The bottom line is that dentistry is not a 9 to 5 job; it's a profession! It's what you do. Your dental software should work with you to deliver information when you want it wherever you are--with no strings attached to servers, communication software, and ever present configuration and IT needs.
Last Chance: FREE Training!
If you're using old and tired client-server software now's a good time to make the switch. We'll train your staff at NO CHARGE when you join Curve Dental by April 26, 2013. Call 888-910-4376 for details. | |

Classic Dental Jokes
| A woman and her husband interrupted their vacation to see the dentist. "I want a tooth pulled and I don't want any Novocaine because I'm in a big hurry," the woman said. "Just extract the tooth as quickly as possible and we'll be on our way."
The dentist was quite impressed. "You're certainly a courageous woman," he said. "Which tooth is it?"
The woman turned to her husband and said, "Show him your tooth, dear."

How Listening Well Scores Points with Patients

Power Thought: Katherine Eitel and Associates
Whether on the phone or in person, you have two basic responsibilities when it comes to interviewing patients: To listen really well and give them hope. It really all comes down to that.
Listening well sounds easy but few people are masters. It requires being totally present and in the moment with the patient. It means clearing your mind, if only for a moment, of what you'd like to say next or what's happening in the other room, etc. Active listening includes good, strong eye contact, leaning forward slightly, positioning yourself in front and at eye level. Learn to repeat back what you think you've heard or learned about this patient before proceeding. There is no feeling like being the focus of someone's complete attention when we are trying to convey something we feel is important. It makes us feel important and worthwhile.
Second is giving patients hope. You don't have to solve all their problems. You may not be able to. But giving them hope about their future is what paves the way to them putting their faith in you. Before you start to educate or outline options, tell them you are glad they came to you. You can help them. There are many options and today we will begin to discover what those options might be. But one thing you already know is that they've come to the right place and together you will be able to formulate a plan of action that will work best for them.
Hope and faith are the cornerstones of optimism. And everyone can use a little more of that!
