Meet and Sail on Alvimedica

June 19, 2014

Just a short blast with important information on this weekend's Bermuda Race, Rose Cup and Alvemedica's visit to little Oyster Bay!

You can track the three Bermuda-bound Oakcliff teams  here.  Look for Temptation Oakcliff, Oakcliff Farr 47 and Jeffery MacFarlane who is in the short- handed division. The race starts tomorrow afternoon.

Also tomorrow, 12 of the top American youth teams will begin match racing in the Rose Cup.  Results  will be posted as they are available.   Oakcliff will be posting play by play reports on Twitter and Facebook . Finally Chris Love and his driver, Acorn Cat Feder will be filming all of the action and coverage will be available nightly. Thank you to Gill  for their support.

The Volvo Ocean Racing Team Alvemedica will be blasting through the Rose Cup fleet and sailing into Oyster Bay on Saturday.  This one is not a virtual event.  You will want to be here as they pull up to the dock at OBMC.  Sponsor a Room

We are getting very very close to having the bunkhouse finished at 4 South Street.  It will be a Godsend for visiting athletes, match racers, Acorns, Saplings and Olympic hopefuls.

We invite you to tour the site but more importantly we invite you to make a donation and sponsor a room, a bed or even a shower.

My cell is 415 760 7642 and email driley@oakcliffsailing.org

I would love to talk to you about joining in with our other supporters who are helping with this capital campaign.  Ironically for a project that has naming opportunities, our largest donor (not who you might think) does not want to be named but he has donated 20% of the costs.  Will you please consider stepping up and helping out?
