Greetings!
This week, the Ker 50 and Farr 47 will be heading to Newport for the start of the Bermuda Race. Also, we are SUPER excited to announce the Volvo 65 Alvemedica will be here in Oyster Bay the weekend after next.
We will be posting the details of how you can see the boat and meet the crew - some of which are Oakcliff Alumni. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Speaking of that, if anyone would like to make a donation and sail on her from Newport to Oyster Bay, to NYC or back, let us know.
Read on for the results and pictures of the weekend including the Grade 3 Clinegatta and the Classics Spring Series. Also, remember that this Thursday is the 1st Thursday Night Summer Series event on the Classics.

Oakcliff's Shaw Wins Grade 3!
This weekend our SapGrad Elizabeth Shaw and team won the June Invitational Clinegatta!
Elizabeth and her team battled through light and difficult conditions both on Saturday and Sunday. They won the event with six wins and one loss. Her team included Saplings Charlie LaLumiere and Doug Reynolds, as well as Zach Runci from Duxbury, MA and Howie Meyers from Bellport, NY. Our other Saplings also participated in the event. Avi Lessman sailed with the 212 Degree Racing team with other SapGrads Hobie Ponting, Madeline Gill, and Jon Hammond; they placed third. There was also a boat crewed entirely by Saplings. Colin Kennedy as skipper, Brandon Yuen on main, Jacob Henley in pit, Christain Langalis on jib and kite trim, and Parker Lyman on bow. Congrats to all of our sailors! Also HUGE thanks to Scotty Dickson for coaching the clinic portion on Thursday and Friday!

Grade 5 AND
Alzheimer's Regatta
This Saturday, Oakcliff's Grade 5 will offer a special opportunity. You enter as normal, but you have the option of raising funds or buying a dinner ticket for the Lobster Roast to support Alzheimer's research.
It is a good party consisting of: Lobster, Corn, Dogs, Cake, Band, and a Raffle.
You can also register your own boat, sail one of Oakcliff's, or race in the Grade 5 to raise money and join the party.
If you don't have a team, you can still sign up, and Bill will do his best to place you with a team or on an umpire boat. Either way: Click Here to get more information on pledging.

Aegir Wins the Day and Anne Caie Gets Overall
Congratulations to all who raced the Spring Series. The last day was capped off with a once around course where the wind came up as racing began and shut off at the end of the race.
This allowed for all of the racers to pop home and clean up for a lovely Mexican Fiesta along with the match racers from the June Invitational. It created quite the party!
Thursday's start on the 12th, and weekend racing resumes after Labor Day.
NOTE: for those of you who attend Hunt's Financial Seminars those will now move to Friday's at 2pm
