Fill Up Friday

Thank you to all who participated in this Lenten tradition!
Last week's collection brought in 5,018 items which  filled the pantry to overflowing at Our Lady of Guadalupe Center. Team Wonder Woman brought in the most items for the victory!
40 Days for Life

40 Days for Life runs through Palm Sunday, March 20 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.  The location is Founder's Women's Health Center at 1243 E. Broad Street. Parking is available on the side-street just east of the center.  Please join us for a peaceful, prayerful and meaningful experience! Even if it is for 15 minutes, come out and show your support for the most vulnerable members of the human family: the unborn.

Bring a friend and bring a Rosary. If you have any questions, then please contact me, David Klemm (Theology teacher and co-moderator of the Human Rights club) at: dklemm@cdeducation.org.
Concert Choir

The Concert Choir performed at the Ohio Music Education Association Large Group Contest last Friday at Hilliard Davidson High School, earning a rating of 1 in Class A. It was the first time the BWHS choir has competed in Class A and it is the first 1 rating in at least 15 years.

The choir performed three songs for the audience and then proceeded to another room for the sight-reading portion of the competition in which the group had four minutes to look over a new piece of music before performing it for judges.

Congratulations to vocal music teacher, Miss Christen Joyce, and our Concert Choir!
Mock Trial Team Qualified for States

Our Mock Trial team made it to the state tournament, one of just 37 schools to qualify out of the 395 teams statewide. This was a great accomplishment for a team that began during the 2014-15 school year!
In addition, Mia Simone earned a Best Attorney Award and David Szolosi earned a Best Witness Award.
Way to go, legal Eagles and to advisor, Mr. Mike Huff!

Bishop Watterson announced that Markiewicz was a semifinalist in the fall of 2015.

French Exchange Trip
Two weeks in France for just $2,000.00

france Bishop Watterson just said good-bye to thirty-four students from our sister school in Le Havre, France. Now, we are planning our return trip. Why not consider the trip for your Watterson student? The price will never be lower and the educational and personal rewards are immeasurable. Since students stay with host families they learn a great deal and grow culturally and personally.  The dates are immediately after the end of school in June (exact dates to be determined). The trip is fully chaperoned and the estimated cost is approximately $2,000.00.  (Sorry, the trip is open only to students, although adults can join the group for travel to/from Paris.)

Activities in France vary year to year but have included the following in the past: tour of Le Havre, boat tour of Le Havre harbor, day trip to Honfleur and Deauville, day trip to D-day beaches of Normandy and the American cemetery, day trip to Paris, day trip to Fecamp (Benedictine monastery) and Etretat (cliffs of English Channel), day trip to Mont St-Michel, day trip to Rouen (Cathedral, Joan of Arc sites), social activities with the French students, a day in school at our sister school.

Interested? Contact Jim Dury at jdury@cdeducation.org.  Hurry though as tickets will be purchased soon.

Steve was a long-time coach at Grandview High School and former OSU basketball player in the 1990s who, sadly, lost his battle with cancer last February. Players are nominated by coaches who are members of the District 10 Basketball Coaches Association and voted on by the Board.
