Alumni prepare meals at St. Lawrence Haven
|
The Alumni Department provides service at St. Lawrence Haven on the second Wednesday of each month. We prepare and package meals for the daily lunch line. We normally volunteer from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
St. Lawrence Haven is the St. Vincent de Paul-run sack lunch program. The Haven sits behind Holy Family Church at the corner of Rich and Main streets downtown. Approximately 300-500 meals are served each day. The staff at St. Lawrence Haven is very appreciative of the assistance we provide and we are very thankful for the alumni and friends who have taken time out of their busy schedules to help with this service endeavor.
If you are interested in helping on March 16, or at a future time, please email Terri Kernan at tkernan@cdeducation.org. We would love to have you join us!

Fill Up Fridays Are Back!
Our Lenten tradition of Fill Up Friday is in full swing and the students have been using their creativity to help others in need. The first week was one of the best on record, with teams Toy Story and Finding Nemo delivering more than 16,000 items/dollars to Holy Family Soup Kitchen.
This week's theme is superheroes with teams Superman, Captain America and Wonder Woman collecting for Our Lady of Guadalupe Center which is in need of sugar, beans, salt, dish soap, canned corn, baby wipes, laundry detergent and canned fruit.
Local alumni are welcome to stop by between 7:30-8:15 to donate!
