Men's Night in Honor of Msgr. Kenneth Grimes

More than 130 men gathered on May 4th at St. Andrew Parish Hall to celebrate and honor Monsignor Kenneth Grimes at the 3rd annual Men's Night in Honor of Monsignor Kenneth Grimes. Guests enjoyed a steak dinner and listened to speaker Mike Vrabel, NFL Linebackers Coach for the Houston Texans. Proceeds from this event fund the Monsignor Grimes' Scholarship.

Former BWHS baseball players and alumni parents reminisced about their glory days as they watched the Eagles defeat the DeSales Stallions to clinch the CCL title.
Alumni and parents enjoyed refreshments while cheering the Eagles on to a 5-0 victory. The Eagles are about to begin tournament play and they welcome all alumni to come and watch!

Legends Golf Outing Set for September 7th

Join us for our annual Legends Golf Outing on Sunday, September 7th at the Golf Club of Dublin. Cost is $125 per player. Shot-gun start at 1:30, lunch and dinner included. Online registration will be available soon.

Cincinnati Reds Alumni Event

Sunday, July 27th
Please join us as we take a bus from BWHS to Cincinnati to catch a Reds game. Prior to the game we will meet with Cincinnati area alumni and have a chance to socialize and enjoy food and refreshments.
Cost is $65 for Columbus bus riders and $25 for Cincinnati Alumni.

| Alumni Volunteer at St. Lawrence Haven |
Rita Ficheria '63, Terri Kernan, Joe Hill '63, Nick Kernan '11, and Paul Ottaviano '11 prepare lunch for the clients of St. Lawrence Haven. On Wednesday, May 14th volunteers from the BWHS community prepared nearly 300 meals for distribution at St. Lawrence Haven. Volunteers prepared hearty dishes of lentils and ham for the clients that would be passing through that week. St. Lawrence Haven is the St. Vincent DePaul-run sack lunch program. The Haven sits behind Holy Cross Church at the corner of Rich and Main streets downtown. Approximately 300 to 500 meals are served each day. The Alumni Department would like to thank the volunteers for taking the time to help us in our endeavor to serve those in need. The staff at St. Lawrence Haven really appreciates our monthly visits. The Alumni Department takes a group of volunteers to St. Lawrence on the second Wednesday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If you are interested in helping on June 11th or at a future time, please email Terri Kernan at tkernan@cdeducation.org. |

More than 86 percent of Bishop Watterson's Latin students received awards for their scoring on the 2014 National Latin Exam.
This year Bishop Watterson students earned:
23 gold medals; 29 silver medals; 13 3rd place Magna Cum Laude certificates and 11 Cum Laude certificates. Of the 89 students who took the test 77 will receive awards (86.5%).
