March Madness Table Tennis Tourney a Huge Success!
|

Mark Flanagan '97, Scott Callaghan '91, Principal Marian Hutson, and Joe Ryan '91. Callaghan and Ryan won the tournament.
Theresa and Leo Grimes '73 ready for their first match
Our first-ever Alumni March Madness Table Tennis Tourney held on March 28th was a huge success! More than 75 alumni and friends of the Bishop Watterson community were on hand to play table tennis, socialize, and watch the NCAA basketball games. Winners of the doubles tournament were Joe Ryan '91, and partner Scott Callaghan '91. The runner-up trophy went to BWHS tennis greats Scott Farwick and partner Rick Hetterscheidt both from the class of '79, while the first-team-out award went to our new head golf coach, Thomas Hrach '05, and his partner, Matthew Bartosic '05.
Spencer Ward '09 and Danny Kernan '09 were presented with the ''Most-Spirted Award." Spencer was the only participant to sustain an injury during the event when his partner hit him with his paddle on his back swing.
If you were unable to join us for the fun, we hope to see you next time!

Boys Basketball Team State Runner-Up
|
Congratulations to Vince Lombardo and our boys basketball team on another historic season! The Eagles finished the season as state runner-up, regional champion, district champion and CCL champion.
This team is a special group of young men both on and off the court; their tenacity, sportsmanship, team work, and composure attributed much to their success. We are so proud of their accomplishments but, more important, we are proud of their selflessness, integrity and humility.
Go Eagles!
