Responses to the Farewell

Newsletter

Dear subscribers.

Instead of responding to each and every reply of Well Wishes, Good Lucks, and Thank Yous to my farewell missive, I thought that I would just share all of them with you.   After all, this is a form of social media.

Thank you so much for your responses.

Bill Spriggs

p.s. We still have 8 issues to go.

>Bill,
I share sadness with you on this news. The back fence has made tremendous positive impact. My hope is that your reach through the back fence extends to someone who can offer you a job - it seems to me that your talent and diligence proven by this publication is obvious and good reason to hire you for any number of high-paying tasks. Thanks so much for the back fence.
John Doherty.

>Bill,
We never met but I learned of this newsletter from my attending the Transit Alliance in 2011 and I highly valued this newsletter - it was something I read completely through each week and I thank you for your sacrifice to make it happen. May you be blessed and continue to be a blessing in all you do.
Dave

>William, Thanks!!!
Thanks for all you've done, to keep us aware of the mobility, sustainability and walkability issues at the ground level, while promoting the healthy community and lifestyle changes/options that our public transit improvements are bringing to "the West" and the Denver Metro area.
You are very good at what you do, and I'm sure you can find employment in this 'social network' public service realm, if you so desire (and pray).
Best!
Sean VonFeldt

Thanks for all you've done to promote the West Corridor. I'm sure it's the better for your efforts. Every FasTracks corridor should be so blessed!
I'm sure that many readers, like me, were asking themselves how they might employ you.   I haven't thought of anything yet, but I'm sure others will. You obviously would be a valuable resource to anyone!
All the best, and keep me informed of what you end up doing.
And, of course, thanks for regularly promoting me in your newsletter! I am honored. No one has said they call me because of your mention, but you have definitely kept me top-of-mind among your readers! I am grateful.
Yours,

>Bill - Thank you for the great work. I hope you can find work in the industry, you would be great for them!
You've probably heard this before, but another idea would be to get a grant to pay you a salary to keep working on transit issues.I believe Golden.com is funded in part by grants from GURA. Maybe you could get local, regional, or federal grants to do the outreach and marketing work, or something else in line with transit.
Best of luck,
Matt Burde

>Bill: You've been a source of great info on transit, planning, neighborhoods and community livability from here and around the world, and I've enjoyed reading it all. Good luck.

>Hey, Bill.
Sorry to hear that. I hope you can stay somewhat involved until you get me "trained." Of course, you know sidewalks/bike paths are my big issue too. I'll try to help carry the torch. Do you have any job prospects? I know RTD hires a lot of retirees to drive their Access-A-Ride buses. One of my friends drives for them and seems to enjoy it.
