The countdown begins:
Less than 100 days to WILD10!

Join this year's biggest conservation congress where wild nature is at the center of the action. Leaders from around the world in politics, science, economics, arts, communications, photography and business, will join together with governmental agencies, indigenous communities, non-profit and community organizations. After 35 years of history, the action agenda of this global forum meets for the first time in a Mediterranean country in Salamanca, Spain. Be at WILD10...Make the World a Wilder Place!

Program details now available

The collaborative process has been on-going as many more partners use WILD10 as leverage for their own organizational objectives. The Global Gathering plenary sessions are on track (4-6 October) with leaders announcing objectives and new models from many different sectors. The Science and Stewardship Symposium, part of the Global Forum (8-10 October), has expanded its program due to  the large submission of quality abstracts.

The Congress is preceded by a 2-day Global Intergovernmental Forum on Wilderness (GIFW), in Salamanca, for government representatives of all types, including national, provincial, local, communal, tribal and international agencies.

Trail to Salamanca campaign: 13 days left!
Trail to Salamanca: Indiegogo Campaign
Geoff Dalglish has been hiking the Trail to Salamanca for one full month, raising awareness on conservation issues. He now needs your help getting to WILD10 in Salamanca, Spain! He's traversed great mountain corridors, trudged through treacherous weather conditions, spoken with local citizens & professionals in the environmental field, and most recently encountered a family of wolves!

Can you make a donation to help Geoff hike the Trail to Salamanca and continue to share the message of the importance of wilderness? The total expense is an estimate to cover 5 months of the journey, including- Geoff's international airfare to and from South Africa (economy); equipment; GPS and telephone accounts; 5 months living expenses on the walk and then in Salamanca. All planning expenses have been donated by WILD10. No per diems or personal fees are being paid. Geoff is a volunteer, completely.  If any funding remains at the end, they will be donated to the WILD10 scholarship fund for delegates from developing countries.

Geoff's journey is proof that you can make remarkable discoveries by treading lightly and lovingly upon the Earth. We hope you can help and join us in celebrating this success story to "make the world a wilder place."
