6 Quick Things

We hope you are having a wonderful week. The weather is just gorgeous here in Grinnell. Here are 6 things on our mind this week:
  1. We got a sneak peek tour of the Mayflower Community's new Watertower Square project....what a beautiful building! The first residents will begin moving in very soon. The building has underground parking with access to a tunnel that leads under the street to the rest of their campus.
  2. We also toured the three new apartments under construction on the second story of 913 Main Street. Two have two bedrooms and the third has three bedrooms. A unique feature is that they all have access to a shared rooftop patio area.
  3. The public is invited to a community input session next Tuesday evening to share your ideas about better connecting the Grinnell College campus and downtown. We hope to see a lot of residents at this!
  4. We are searching for someone to play Santa during Jingle Bell Holiday on November 20. We have the costume! If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering that evening, please let us know.
  5. We are also looking for volunteers to greet people and to scare people at the Fright Hike on October 30. Click here for volunteer sign-up. Ticket for the event will be for sale on our website next week.
  6. There are a couple weeks left for this year's Farmers Market!
