#FarmMktWk
It's National Farmers Market Week and we invite you to celebrate by attending the Grinnell Farmers Market! Each year, the Farmers Market Coalition sets aside a week to celebrate the individuals who give so much time ensuring our farmers markets across the nation are successful, and we're thankful they do.
Our farmers not only put an extraordinary amount of time into selling their product week in and out, but they also work to educate the shoppers at market. Most farmers selling at markets discuss farming practices with their customers, and are always happy to answer any questions you may have about a particular product or practice, as well as give some good tips (and sometimes samples!) on tasty ways to prepare the product.
The Grinnell Farmers Market began many years ago, and currently has more than 30 full-time vendors and many part-time vendors, and is coordinated by our office. Our vendors sell a wide variety of products, including fresh produce, baked goods, smoked meats, jams and jellies, frozen steaks, beef jerky and other meats, salsa, hand-crafted jewelry, ceramics and much more! Grinnell is one of the largest mid-sized markets in Iowa, and offers a market on both Thursday afternoons from 3-6pm, and Saturdays from 10am-noon.

P.S. Join us for Friday Fest tomorrow evening! Standing Hampton will be rocking Main Street from 7-10pm. There's also a bags tournament, inflatables, and a beverage garden.
