On Our Minds
- We enjoyed this picture from today's Farmers Market. Have you been to the market lately? We have a huge group of vendors this year offering good variety of items. The sunflowers were a cheery item to see at a few booths today!
- Did you know that there are free kids movies at the Strand Theatre during the summer? Many Grinnell businesses sponsor them and have free tickets for you to pick up at their businesses. Next week's movie is The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water.
- The Grinnell Mutual Family Aquatic Center has been a busy place this summer with all of the hot weather we have had. Isn't it wonderful that we have such a fantastic pool to enjoy?
- Memories Maid opened their own storefront! They were previously inside the flower shop, but Nichole is now selling her tasty freezer meals out of 901 Main St. See her for freezer meals, catering, event planning, and unique gifts.
- There is a new business that will help you conquer your to-do list! Grinnell Errand Service will run your errands for you. So if you don't have time to get groceries, pick up the dry cleaning, take the dog to the vet, etc., they will help you out.
- Need help with marketing planning or strategy? One of our newest members of Double You Marketing and they would be glad to work with you.
- Ballyhoo In Ink has expanded into a bigger storefront. The business makes personalized gifts and specialty printing items, and quickly outgrew their small space on Commercial St. Their new home is at 1032 Main St by McNally's.
- Have you ever been to the Grinnell Historical Museum? It is filled to the brim with amazing pieces of our community's history, including the desk of our founder, J.B. Grinnell. We'd encourage you to stop by for a visit sometime.
- Finally, tonight's Music in the Park Route 66 concert begins at 5:30. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy this beautiful summer evening.
