Showing Off
I'm working on revamping and redesigning our Grinnell Visitor Guide, and I need your help showing off our city. Would you please send me any photos you have of your family/friends having fun in Grinnell? I'm looking for tons of images that show off our community, mostly ones that include people. So send me your favorites from the past few years. You could get published in the guide and you'll practically be famous!

Dig out that photo of your kids playing in the park, your family out to eat at a restaurant, your son up to bat in his little league game, or your daughter dancing her way through the homecoming parade. Even if you're not sure if the picture is all that great, send it anyway. I'll take anything from selfies to professional photographs. I'm looking for all sorts of images that show life in Grinnell. That includes shopping, dining, events, recreation, attractions, and so much more. Your images will help illustrate the energy and fun that's here in this community.

It's a busy weekend here in Grinnell, making it the perfect time to grab your camera and snap some more great photos while you're thinking about it. We're welcoming Grinnell College families for Family Weekend. The Galaxy has the Harlem Ambassadors in town tonight for a comedy basketball game. Faulconer Gallery is celebrating 15 years with special events and the final weekend of their amazing show. The annual Raku workshop is at the Arts Center. And the Optimists are hosting their Fly-In/Drive-In Breakfast. Get out and enjoy all these wonderful things that make life in Grinnell memorable.

~Emily Counts

P.S. There's still time to sign up for next week's Homecoming Parade. Click here to fill out the form.

Chamber Ambassadors visited the new duplex at Cooper Corner (East St. & Highway 6) this week. We are thankful to the Lang's for their commitment to Grinnell's future. If you are interested in renting one of these units, please email [email protected]. One unit is still available!
