The Buzz
There is a lot of activity around town this week. We had visitors from all over the world in Grinnell over the weekend for Commencement at Grinnell College. And there will be more people in town this coming weekend for the high school's graduation. We wish all of you students the best and hope you will always consider Grinnell 'home' no matter where life takes you.
It is so exciting to see everyone out and about riding bikes, walking through downtown and enjoying the sunshine on park benches. The downtown flower baskets went up today and the city crew was out changing the banners for summer. The Farmers Market began last week, and will continue every Thursday and Saturday, and Music in the Park kicks off next Thursday.
While road construction is never convenient, I am looking forward to a beautiful new stretch of road along Central Park. Construction began Monday morning on Phase 4 of the reconstruction of the Central Business District. 4th Avenue from Broad Street to the railroad tracks.
I hope you have a wonderful week and are able to get out and enjoy the sunshine.
