Supreme Courts under the spotlight Expert analysis of influential Supreme Court rulings in China and Pakistan
In China, the Supreme Court has endorsed recommendations by the Head of the FLJS programme on Consumer Rights in China, Dr Ying Yu.
Dr Yu's proposals to improve the rights of over a billion consumers were published in full by the court, in what Dr Yu describes as "a critical moment for the Chinese government to offer an effective consumer redress scheme, which could contribute to both economic and political stability."
