Killing by Drones: Legal and Policy Issues
Lecture to explore the issues behind drone attacks on non-State actors

We invite you to a lecture on 15 October by Rory O. Millson, Partner at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, who will assess the increasingly common use of military drones in Pakistan, Yemen, and elsewhere. 

The lecture will examine the legal and policy issues that lie behind such 'targeted killings' in the ongoing fight against non-State actors.

Directed by the Oscar Award winning documentary maker Alex Gibney, We Steal Secrets: The Story of Wikileaks tells the story of Julian Assange's rise and fall as the founder of Wikileaks and self-proclaimed defender of truth and freedom.

With an introductory talk by Dr Jonathan Bright of the Oxford Internet Institute, the event will explore the birth of a new age of digital whistle-blowing and citizen journalism.

Reports assess dispute resolution in China
Two new reports ask: Can European initiatives be implemented in China? 

This month we published two reports that assess whether recent European measures to provide alternative ways of resolving disputes between consumers and business could be implemented in China.

The findings, published in association with Swiss Re and written in Chinese, will be discussed at meetings with policymakers and businesspeople in China later this year.
