Dr Christian Fuchs, the author of an influential new book on social media, will discuss with other experts the effects of social media on our conceptions of privacy, democracy, the transparency of power, and cultural censorship.

Killing by Drones: Legal and Policy Issues Lecture to explore the issues behind drone attacks on non-State actors
We invite you to a lecture on 15 October by Rory O. Millson, Partner at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, who will assess the increasingly common use of military drones in Pakistan, Yemen, and elsewhere.
The lecture will examine the legal and policy issues that lie behind such 'targeted killings' in the ongoing fight against non-State actors.

Reports assess dispute resolution in China Two new reports ask: Can European initiatives be implemented in China? This month we published two reports that assess whether recent European measures to provide alternative ways of resolving disputes between consumers and business could be implemented in China.
The findings, published in association with Swiss Re and written in Chinese, will be discussed at meetings with policymakers and businesspeople in China later this year.
