10 EMMY Nominations for Telemundo Washington DC

 
WASHINGTON DC, May 25, 2016 ZGS Communications is delighted to announce that WZDC Telemundo Washington DC has been nominated for 10 EMMY Awards from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter, the most nominations received by a Spanish-language newscast in the Washington DC metro area.  Once again, Telemundo Washington DC continues to demonstrate its commitment to serve and inform the Hispanic community through outstanding journalism. 
 
The 58th National Capital Chesapeake Bay EMMY Awards Gala honors excellence in television production in variety of categories of the television industry including news and documentary shows, sports and entertainment programming, and craft categories.  The event will take place on Saturday, June 25 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.

Telemundo Washington DC is making significant moves in local news this May, with double-digit growth across all key audiences Year-Year.  At 6pm, Telenoticias Washington delivers 17,000 total viewers Monday-Friday, garnering a 78% growth among Women 25-54 and a 29% growth among Adults 25-54 over May '15. Additionally, Telenoticias Washington doubles its audience at 11pm among Adults 25-54 Year-Year, and garners a stellar 45% Spanish-language late news share among Women 25-54.
