It seems as though the first quarter of 2016 has flown by! So far, it's been wonderful, an exciting time for us here at ZGS, where our station teams have been racking up accomplishments.

Hats off to the WWDT team in Fort Myers-Naples; they've made the station the Spanish-language television leader in Southwest Florida! No matter what time of day - morning, noon, or night - WWDT is #1, with audiences from 18 to 54.  Their show Telediario is #1 for 11pm news in Spanish.

More congratulations to our colleagues in Washington, DC, where WZDC has delivered a fabulous February, with significant increases in audience throughout the day. From Un Nuevo Día to the 11pm Telenoticias Washington, each part of the day is growing audience. Way to go!

On the political front, our station group recently launched our local civic engagement campaign, #yodecido.  This is a definitely a political year like no other.  The outcome will affect our community for years to come, so here is another area where we need to serve our community. While it's always important to participate in the political process, this year it is particularly so. Everyone needs to make their voices heard, and vote.  Our stations can and will make a difference!

We've implemented a much more interactive social media strategy, including live streaming and soon we'll be launching revamped and extended local news in the coming months. Let's be sure we are taking advantage of all opportunities to reach new audiences and expand our client base, especially as we enter the fast-approaching summer event season. We appreciate all that you do to highlight your properties, and it is such a rewarding feeling to share your successes. This is an exciting year, and an exciting time, and I am honored to be sharing it with you.
Un abrazo.

Community spirit and willingness to lend a hand is a part of WTMO Orlando's culture and in 2016 their focus is to give back to the community through employee volunteerism.
