Spanish-language Television Viewers Prefer to Spend Their Nights with WRMD Telemundo Tampa
TAMPA, December 9, 2015 - WRMD Telemundo Tampa is unstoppable and remains the #1 Spanish-language television station in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Sarasota market in primetime (M-F 7-11pm) according to Nielsen's most recent survey. Telemundo Tampa enjoys more than half of the audience with adults 18-49 and 25-54 demos in this time period.
The primetime advances were fueled by Telemundo Tampa's exciting lineup. The programming block kicks off with the courtroom staple Caso Cerrado Edición Estelar at 7pm which captured over 64% of Spanish-language viewers in the adults 18-49 and 25-54 demos. The audience doubled from the prior year at 8pm with bio-musical blockbuster drama Celia. Rounding out prime is hit novela Bajo El Mismo Cielo, and Super Series Señora Acero, where audiences almost tripled among adults 18-49 from the previous year.
Additionally, Telenoticias Tampa, the only Spanish-language newscast in the market awarded a 2015 Suncoast EMMY, leads the charge at 11pm as the preferred choice for Spanish-language news, delivering 60% of the key news audience with adults 18-49 and 25-54.
"We have a deep commitment to our audience and community at large. To that end, we're happy to see that most of the audience favors Telemundo Tampa over their alternative viewing options," commented Jayme Ribeiro Neto, General Manager of Telemundo Tampa.
