KTDO Telemundo 48 is #1 in El Paso

El Paso, TX - KTDO Telemundo 48 surpassed all broadcast stations in El Paso to become the #1 station in the market, regardless of language, in primetime and early fringe.

According to Nielsen's May 2015 survey, KTDO Telemundo 48 was the most watched station in primetime (M-F 6-10pm) among coveted demos, adults 18-34 and 18-49, almost doubling its audience from last sweeps. It was also #2 among all stations in the market with adults 25-54, just 0.1 rating point out of first place. KTDO Telemundo 48's primetime dominance was driven by the hugely popular Super Series El Señor de los Cielos at 9pm, which was the highest rated primetime program in the market. Primetime novelas Avenida Brasil and Tierra de Reyes outperformed all other Spanish-language stations in the market combined, commanding more than half of the audience at 7pm and 8pm.

KTDO Telemundo 48 led all stations in early fringe (M- F 3-5pm) with adults 18-49 and 25-54. Telemundo's hit news magazine Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste was #1 in the market at 3pm, while court TV show Caso Cerrado was #1 at 4pm.

"The May book not only validates that KTDO Telemundo 48 is the dominant Spanish-language station in the market, but its programming is among the most popular in El Paso, regardless of language," commented Lorena Castañeda, Station Manager. "We are pleased to continue to provide excellent programming for our viewers and to create value for our advertisers by delivering increasingly larger audiences."

Additionally, Telenoticias El Paso, KTDO Telemundo 48's local news, continues to deliver significant audience increases. The 10pm newscast more than doubled its audience among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, to become the market's #2 newscast at 10pm with adults 18-49. Telenoticias El Paso was also the most-watched Spanish-language news program at 10pm among adults 18-34.
