KTDO Telemundo 48 is El Paso's Spanish-Language Primetime Leader
El Paso, TX - KTDO Telemundo 48 concludes 2014 as the most watched Spanish-language station in primetime among several key demos including adults 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers. According to the November 2014 Nielsen survey, KTDO Telemundo 48 outperformed the local competition, delivering more than half of the audience. KTDO Telemundo 48 also tied for No. 2 among all broadcast stations in the market with adults 25-54, regardless of language.
KTDO Telemundo 48's primetime dominance was driven by its original lineup. The 7pm hit novela Reina de Corazones finished out its run at No.1 among adults 25-54 and adults 18+. Los Miserables led at 8pm, commanding almost half of all viewers in its time slot and the widely successful super series, Señora Acero, ranked as the market's No. 1 program at 9pm, regardless of language, among adults 18-49 and 25-54.
"At KTDO Telemundo 48, we are very proud to see that our programming resonates with our audience. In 2015, we are committed to continue being the preferred choice for Spanish-language television in El Paso," commented Lorena Castañeda, Station Manager.
Telenoticias El Paso, KTDO Telemundo 48's local news, continued to deliver significant audience growth as well. Both the 5pm and 10pm broadcasts more than doubled its audience among key demos from last year. Additionally, Telenoticias El Paso was the leading late edition Spanish-language newscast at 10pm, with more than half of the adults 18-34 audience.
In January, KTDO Telemundo 48 will premiere new primetime programs including Top Chef Estrellas on Sunday, January 11 at 8pm, and super series Dueños Del Paraíso starring Kate Del Castillo on January 13 at 9pm. Telemundo's special broadcast of the annual Miss Universo
competition will air on Sunday, January 25 at 6pm.
