EMMY-Nominated Telenoticias Orlando is the Preferred Spanish-Language Newscast at 11pm

The late newscast is also #3, regardless of language, among all broadcast stations in the market

 

 

Washington, DC - WTMO Telemundo Orlando received two nominations for the upcoming Suncoast EMMY Awards. The station's newscast, Telenoticias Orlando, is the #1 source for Spanish-language news in the Orlando DMA at 11pm.  In the most recent September survey, WTMO delivered almost two-thirds of the Spanish TV audience in key demos including adults 18-34, 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers (P2+).  The late newscast was also #3 among all broadcast stations in the market, regardless of language, with adults 18-34 and 18-49.  Additionally, the 6pm edition of Telenoticias Orlando also led Spanish news among adults 18-34.


With two Emmy nominations, Telemundo Orlando is the most nominated Spanish-language television station in Central Florida. WTMO received the EMMY nominations in the following categories:

The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) offers the Suncoast EMMY Awards to television markets throughout the state of Florida; Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and New Orleans, Louisiana;  Mobile, Alabama; Thomasville, Georgia and Puerto Rico.  The 38th Annual Suncoast EMMY Awards will be held at the Westin Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale Beach on Saturday, December 13, 2014.
