Telemundo Florida Affiliates to Host Only Spanish-Language Gubernatorial Debate
WASHINGTON, DC - ZGS Communications announced today that its Florida Telemundo affiliates, WTMO Orlando, WRMD Tampa and WWDT Fort Myers Naples, in partnership with WSCV Telemundo Miami, will broadcast an upcoming gubernatorial debate between incumbent Florida Gov. Rick Scott and the Democratic nominee, either former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist or Nan Rich. The debate will be held October 10 in Miami, the first of three debates between the candidates prior to the November 4 election.
The format of the debate will be question and answer as the candidates face questions focused on issues relevant to the state's growing Hispanic population.The program will be broadcast entirely in Spanish and will air on Florida's Telemundo stations at 7 p.m. the same day.
The upcoming debate is also an extension of ZGS' Vota por tu Futuro initiative, an informative and educational public awareness campaign that encourages voter registration and participation in the Hispanic community. Additionally, local Telemundo stations are committed to providing continuing comprehensive political coverage as it relates to the 2014 state elections.

The program is expected to reach millions of Florida viewers, including many of Florida's 1.66 million registered Hispanic voters.
