WRMD Telemundo Tampa Propels Itself to #1 among Adults 25-54
Tampa, FL - WRMD Telemundo is Tampa's #1 Spanish-language station among Adults 25-54, according to the May Nielsen survey. The station commanded almost half of the audience, increasing its sign-on to sign-off (M-Su 5a-2a) ratings delivery by 50% from last year.
Telemundo Tampa's dominance throughout the day was driven by its primetime and early fringe success. The primetime hit, Caso Cerrado Edición Estelar led Spanish TV at 7pm among Adults 18-49 and 25-54. The popular court show was also #1 in the market, regardless of language, among Adults 18-34. The program delivered more than triple the audience compared to the closest competitor. La Impostora, the 8pm novela,was the Spanish-language leader among major demos, with more than half of the audience.
Telemundo Tampa was also the most watched Spanish-language station in early fringe among major demos, capturing over half the audience. The station's early fringe success was driven by shows Caso Cerrado at 4pm and Al Rojo Vivo at 5pm, both of which dominated in its timeslot. Caso Cerrado commanded an impressive almost two-thirds of the audience while Al Rojo Vivo drew more than half. Telemundo Tampa's afternoon success was propelled by Lo Mejor de Caso Cerrado, which was tied for #1 in the market, regardless of language, at 2pm among Adults 18-34.
