WWDT Telemundo Fort Myers Dominates Spanish-Language Television in May
Fort Myers, FL - WWDT Telemundo Fort Myers is the #1 choice for Spanish-language programming in Fort Myers-Naples, according to Nielsen's May survey. For the second consecutive measurement period, Telemundo Fort Myers led all Spanish stations sign-on to sign-off (M-Su 5a-2a), delivering more than half of the audience among several key demos, including Adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
Fueled by its popular lineup of original programming, Telemundo Fort Myers was #1 in Monday-Friday primetime from 7-11pm, with more than 50% of the Spanish television audience among Adults 18-34 and 25-54, and two-thirds of Adults 18-49. Caso Cerrado Edición Estelar at 7pm had a majority share of more than 70% among Adults 18-49 and 25-54. La Impostora, the hit novela at 9pm, was the station's most watched primetime program with a rating more than three times the closest competitor. Novelas, En Otra Piel at 9pm and Camelia La Texana at 10pm rounded out the station's evening lineup at #1 among major demos.
Additionally, Telemundo Fort Myers was the most-watched Spanish-language station in early fringe, leading the competition with Adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. The station delivered an impressive three-quarters share of the early fringe audience. Popular court show Caso Cerrado and news magazine Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste continue to be #1 at 4pm and 5pm respectively.
The station's locally-produced news program, Telediario, was also the market's #1 choice for Spanish-language news at 11pm. The program led in its time period among all major demos, with a remarkable two-thirds of the audience.
