Local news experiences strong growth

Washington, DC - WZDC Telemundo Washington DC is the most-watched Spanish-language station in the market in primetime (M-F 7-11pm). According to Nielsen's May sweeps survey, Telemundo Washington DC commanded the majority share of audience among Adults 25-54 and total viewers.  The station increased its primetime delivery by at least 40% in both demos from last year. The primetime lineup was anchored by popular court show Caso Cerrado Edición Nocturna at 7pm, delivering more than 50% of the audience. At 10pm, Camelia La Texana wrapped up its run in the #1 spot among Adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

The station's primetime success was not only limited to weekdays. Telemundo Washington DC also led on Sunday nights, with the hugely successful reality show La Voz Kids. The second season of the popular singing competition led Spanish television, not only during May sweeps, but throughout its multi-month run among Adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. The show commanded at least half of the Spanish-language audience on a weekly basis.

Additionally, Telenoticias Washington, the station's local news at 6pm and 11pm, increased its delivery from last year among several key demos including Adults 18-49 and 25-54. Fueled by its growth, the 11pm edition of the nightly newscast was tied for the #1 most watched Spanish-language newscast among Adults 25-54 and total viewers.

"Telemundo Washington DC is without a doubt the station to watch. We offer exactly what our viewers want, programming that informs and entertains, and what our clients need to grow and prosper.
